Weekly Hikes at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park

A Saturday at 3;00 PM moderate hike in addition to our regular Wednesday hikes at Redwood Park. This is a mostly shaded, 7 mile, 1000 feet elevation, moderate-paced hike at Oakland's Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. Enter from Redwood Gate https://goo.gl/maps/PrGuttC8dEnxN1KC9 We meet at Fishway Lot (the first parking lot on the left). Fishway is a small, unpaved lot closest to the entrance gate. Both Park Entry and Parking is free and there are 4 parking lots. At 3:00 pm we start with a meet and greet; and each person gets to share 1 or 2 things that made them happy this week. Please be on time and get to know your new friends during the hike. We leave for the hike at 3:05pm. Route to be determined day of the hike. Hike is about 3 hours. We stop at most trail intersections along the hike to regroup. Please make sure to bring enough water and clothes and respect for everyone and nature. If you cannot make it, please update your RSVP so others can join the hike. Participants assume responsibility for their own safety Doggie friends are currently not part of this group hike.

Come join us for a relaxed Sunday walk with women navigating life after divorce, transition, or living solo. We meet on the last Sunday of every month to walk along the Embarcadero and chat about dating, new adventures, and whatever else is on our minds. Sunday Kickball @ Bushrod Park!

BASS presents our favorite event, kickball! We will be at our normal spot in the East Bay at Bushrod Park in Oakland! Bring your soccer cleats (for better grip on the field), sunscreen, and athletic wear and water for a fun time out! For those who haven't played kickball before, the rules will be explained and demonstrated before we start. Depending on the attendance, we'll either have 2 teams facing off or a rotation of 3 teams all together. Then after we may hit the local pizza/bar scene if everyone still wants to hang out. We have a HARD START at 1pm, so please be sure to show up on time for warmups! (We also nearly lost the field previously because not enough people were there on time) See you there soon! 🔴 Note: Please, please, please don’t no show. 🙏 It makes these events really difficult to plan. If you no show once, you will be given lower priority for future events. The second time, you will be removed from the event list for any attendee limited event we host.

“Bridge to Breakfast Walk" from SF to Sausalito over the Golden Gate Bridge

**Join us on this 8-mile *Bridge to Breakfast Walk*™ across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco to Sausalito! Take one of the most unique and exhilarating walks on the planet. Make friends and get in shape.** The walk starts at the St. Francis Yacht Club parking lot near Crissy Field in San Francisco, crosses the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, pauses for a "bring-your-own" picnic-style meal together in historic Fort Baker, and continues to historic and quaint Sausalito. Your return to San Francisco may be had by Golden Gate Transit Bus or by Ferry. Although we usually return to our starting point before noon, you may plan on returning no later than 1 p.m. **Your host, Lindsay Spiller** (he, him), will be wearing a Cal cap and will be standing at the far end of the parking lot next to the stone wall bordering the bay. **Read Carefully this Information about the Walk:** * **Breakfast: Walkers are advised to bring their food and beverages (water and coffee if desired) on the walk. We will stop at and use picnic tables on the Marin side on the way to Sausalito** * **Total time.** Set aside about 5-6 hours (2-3 hour walk; 1.5-hour breakfast and socializing; 30-minute Ferry ride back to SF or a bus ride back to the starting location). By bus, you may expect to be back to the starting location by noon. * **Start.** St Francis Yacht Club Entrance (99 Yacht Road, San Francisco, California) * **Meetup and Departure times.** Please plan to arrive at 6.45 AM as we leave promptly at 7:10 AM * **Return to SF.** Upon arriving in Sausalito, you can explore the town, return by Golden Gate Bus Transit, or return by Ferry. The bus fare back to the starting point is $8 and may be paid by Clipper Card or Cash. Credit cards are not accepted. * **Difficulty.** Moderate: Mostly flat with some moderately steep slopes * **Hazards.** Limited hazards include uneven paths and pavement, occasionally sharing the roadway with cars and bicycles, etc. (please read "Participant's Waiver" below) * **SPECIAL NOTE:** * Bring earplugs or AirPods (the bridge crossing can be noisy) * Dress in layers * Bring water if you want * There will be many breaks for restroom use and water * **The Walk requires a minimum of 4 attendees:** The Walk will be cancelled should there be less than four (4) RSVPs by 5PM the day before the event **\*\*\* If you RSVP and can't make it, please cancel at least the night before the event so we won't wait for you.
