(READ THE FULL DESCRPTION) After a long break, I'm excited to organize another social hike! 😊 Last year, we explored this beautiful **Schlachtensee** route together, and it turned out to be one of our most loved hikes. With peaceful forest trails, crystal-clear lake views, and wonderful conversations, we're bringing this favorite route back for another relaxing day in nature. **📅 Date:** **Sunday**, **26 July 2026** **⏰ Time:** **10:00 AM – 3:00 PM** **Organizer Contribution:** \*\*€3 (\*\*The contribution helps support the time and effort that goes into planning, organizing, and hosting these community events.) **🥾 Distance:** **\~15 km** **📍 Start:** **Schlachtensee S-Bahn** **🏁 End:** **Grunewald S-Bahn** **🌿 Difficulty:** Easy to Moderate **👥 Style:** Social Hike ✨ **What's new this time?** During our lakeside break, I'll be offering a gentle **10-minute guided meditation**. It's completely optional and suitable for everyone—no previous meditation experience is needed. Whether you choose to join the meditation, relax by the lake, enjoy your lunch, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings, the choice is yours. **💛** ## What to expect This isn't a race—it's a relaxed social hike where we can enjoy nature, meet new people, have meaningful conversations, and spend a refreshing day outdoors together. We'll walk through beautiful forest trails, stop for a longer break by the lake, and, if the weather is nice, you're welcome to bring your swimsuit for a swim. ## What to bring 🥾 Comfortable walking shoes 💧 1–2 litres of water 🥪 Snacks or a packed lunch ☀️ Sunscreen and a hat if it's sunny 🏖️ Swimwear and a towel (optional) ## Before you RSVP • Please RSVP only if you're sure you can attend, as places are limited. • We'll start on time at **10:00 AM** and won't be able to wait for late arrivals. • Everyone joins at their own responsibility and is responsible for their own safety and well-being throughout the hike. Please wear appropriate footwear, stay hydrated, and hike at a pace that's comfortable for you. * During the hike, we'll take a **group photo** to share on our Meetup page and social media. If you'd prefer not to be in the photos, just let me know on the day—you're absolutely welcome to opt out, and I'll make sure your preference is respected. ## A welcoming community One of the goals of these hikes is to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, included, and safe. Please treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their background, nationality, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or hiking experience. If you experience or witness any discrimination, harassment, inappropriate behavior, or anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, please let me know as the organizer. I'll do my best to ensure everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience. I'm really looking forward to seeing familiar faces again and welcoming new ones. If you've been meaning to spend a day outdoors, meet great people, and recharge in nature, I'd love for you to join us. See you on the trail! 🌿

1 EURO DONATION FEE PER PERSON IS REQUIRED (on site, in cash), to pay back the Meetup subscription fees and support my Events. READ THE DESCRIPTION WITH THE INFO (IMPORTANT). We take a walk in Berlin to meet new people or people we already know 😁 It's a way to spend a few hours together on a Sunday afternoon. **How it works?** The concept is very simple: * We meet at Alexanderplatz Station at 14,30 o'clock (we use the Whatsapp Chat to find each other: I will post there my exact location in the station) * I wait for people for 10 minutes, till 14,40, then we start to walk direction West, crossing Museum Island and Mitte 🏛️🏘️ * We reach Tiergarten and we will cross the entire park, seeing some of its interesting points🌲🌳☘️ * We finally reach Café am Neuen See: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/kSui84icxyU6hQG56](https://maps.app.goo.gl/kSui84icxyU6hQG56) to sit down together to take something to drink or eat 🥐☕🍪 * The total length of the walk is about 8kms I consider that the event will last in overall around 4 hours (2 hours of walk and 2 hours at Café am Neuen See), but people are free to stay together longer, if they want 🙂 What I provide is leading the walk and the people at Café am Neuen See, but I do not force anyone to stay shorter or longer. I do not provide a "personal support" for people who arrive after 14,40 (do not write to me expecting "private support"). You are responsible to check for the weather and decide if come or not. Thanks for understanding. If you have to contact me, make it via Whatsapp, not here on Meetup. Siemesstadt! - Cycle Tour and Explore

Siemesstadt! - Cycle Tour and Explore

Sat, Jul 25, 10:00 AM
From Berlin cycle and walk
4.9

# **Siemesstadt! - Cycle Tour and Explore** **Theme:** Cycle Loop + History + Beer Garden on the Havel. **Time:** 12:00 **Start:** Hamburger Bahnhof **Distance:** 25 to 40 km (depending if you cycle back) **Suggested contribution:** €5 This week we will be exploring Siemensstadt. A whole district of Berlin built out by one of Germany and Berlin’s most famous firms. Factories, beautiful housing estates, military industry, canals and power generation are all on display. We will end at a beer garden by the Havel in one of the old factories. **The Tour** We will follow, more or less, the **"Produktion und Munition" Industrial Heritage Cycle Route**. Starting at Hamburger Bahnhof we will travel up through Wedding and Jungfernheidepark, rolling into Siemesstadt **UNESCO-listed** Siemens Housing Estate and from there looping around the vast industrial complexes of Siemens that once employed more than 55,000 people. We'll also have a look at some of the power stations in the area, and investigate the story of West Berlin's isolated electricity network during the Cold War. We'll finish with a well-earned beer together on a little island in the Havel river near Spandau. From there you can get the train home or cycle back to town to complete the 40km loop. I am an accredited tour guide in Berlin, specialising in telling stories about the city's industrial heritage. I ask for a contribution of **€5** to organise the tour and share my knowledge. **Disclaimer:** Please note that all participants attend as group members, not as customers and are liable for themselves. Please read the group description in full for an explanation of terms and liabilities. **The Cycling** This is a gentle-paced sightseeing ride rather than a sporting event. 🚲 We'll cover around 25 kilometres, 40 if you cycle back to town. There will be frequent stops for stories, photographs and discussion. Anyone with a decent bicycle and experience cycling around Berlin should be comfortable on this route. **What to Bring** 🚲 Spare inner tube suitable for your bike 💶 Cash for drinks or snacks 🌧 Waterproofs (just in case!) ☀️ Suncream 🥪 Water and snacks 😊 Curiosity and a sense of adventure **Highlights** ⚡ Discover how Siemens built one of the world's first purpose-designed industrial company towns 🏭 Explore the monumental Wernerwerk factories that made Siemens a global engineering giant 🕰️ Admire the famous Wernerwerk Clock Tower, the symbol of Siemensstadt 🏘️ Cycle through the UNESCO World Heritage Siemens Housing Estate and learn how industry transformed workers' lives 🔋 Discover how electricity generation, transport and manufacturing came together to create Berlin's "Electropolis" ⚔️ Explore Spandau's centuries-old military history and its role as the centre of Prussian arms production 🔥 See the enormous Reuter Power Station and hear how West Berlin became an electrical island during the Cold War 🚆 See the historic Siemensbahn, built to transport tens of thousands of workers every day 📸 Fantastic photography opportunities among some of Berlin's finest industrial architecture 🍺 Finish with a relaxed drink together on a beautiful island in the Havel River. I estimate the tour to Spandau will take about 3 hours. After this it would be an extra hour back to town for people who cycle back. Should be a fun explorative Saturday afternoon. Hope to see you there! **Simon**

Paddleboarding New Venice and Muggelsee

Paddleboarding New Venice and Muggelsee

Sat, Jul 25, 9:10 AM
From Playful Berlin: Hikes & Activities for Human Connection
4.9

**Donations not obligatory for this one as it was already pre-planned in the Telegram chat, but I would appreciate a 2-5 eur donation to pay the Meetup fee that keeps the group running.** **Invitation to the Telegram community. ALL COMMUNICATION for this Event** will be done **in the Event Chat&Photos** subchannel. **Mute/Unmute** your notifications for **each subchannel to your preference:** [https://t.me/+8-_rnJBuabBkNjI0](https://t.me/+8-_rnJBuabBkNjI0) **PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION, THERE ARE SOME DETAILS THAT NEED TO BE CLEAR TO EVERYONE.** Saturday is rumored to be sunny and hot, so we are taking the chance and going paddleboarding near Berlin. We will see the many channels of Neu Venedig, the vast waters of Muggelsee, and perhaps other nice secrets for the ones willing to paddle further (Gosener Graben). For this, we will have a mixed group of (I assume) various levels of experience starting around 11:10 am at [Meeting Spot A](https://maps.app.goo.gl/eSxgpCrjpaN2sDoe8), [Kanuverleih-Berlin.de](https://www.kanuverleih-berlin.de/) . There are no reservations made, so you are responsible of getting your own paddleboard there, or you can opt for a canoe/kayak if you prefer it. The price of the SUPs (paddleboards) is fixed to a whole day for 25 euros, while the canoes/kayaks is per hour, until a maximum of 40 for a day. If you take a paddleboard, we prefer that either you already have experience standing on one, or that you don't mind that perhaps you'll have to sit and use it as a canoe for a good length of time if you don't manage to stand while on transit. **Checklist:** **-** A very good amount of water (being on the board gets thirsty) and some food. \- A cover for your head \(sun hits hard and long on the water\) \- Sunscreen and/or uv\-clothes \- No fear of the water\. You will fall minimum once\. \- Money for rental\, and maybe safe storage for your phone/valuables \(I assume the rental shop gives either a storage option to carry with or offers to store your items\, but never hurts to have a backup plan\) \- A mindset of fun while keeping a moderate amount of caution and the ability to take care of yourself\, as we might not be one merged group all the time\. To arrive there, you'd take S3 and a bus connection, probably 161. As for length of the activity, it's up to you. The main spots can probably be done in 4 hours or less. I'll likely stay longer. **Last but important, there are two possible meeting spots, depending on three scenarios:** 1\. You dont have a paddleboard\. \(Meeting Spot A\) 2\. You have your own paddleboard and dont mind spending 5 euro to launch it from a harbor\, have toilets and start with more of the group \(Meeting Spot A\) 3\. You have your own paddleboard and are a cheapskate \(Meeting Spot B\) [Meeting Spot A](https://maps.app.goo.gl/uKnSf5Td6Wnpg1gC8) is the already mentioned rental shop. [Meeting Spot B](https://maps.app.goo.gl/RWTK2DvrCSJZrzUR9) is the Kleiner Muggelsee beach. I personally will be in Meeting Spot B at 11 am inflating my SUP and heading from there, I expect most people would want Meeting Spot A. Whichever group gets ready the fastest goes to find the other one. (its not a big distance between the spots). After meeting up, we can do a bit of practice and fundamentals for those that are newer to the sports. Remember to take a look at the area of the map and remember the meeting plan, as once in the water I am not sure how much I will be able to safely check my phone, if at all. That's all! See you there! **Disclaimers:** \- Participation is under your own responsibility\, the organizers are not liable for damages or losses\. \- Some pictures/video might be taken and displayed publicly for the purposes of community or promotion of the group\. Please request their removal or modification if relevant\.
