We meet weekly Rain or Shine! 3.1 miles around Lake Merritt. No runner left behind. Very barefootable surfaces. If you can run 3 miles in shoes then you can probably do this barefoot. Runners in shoes and sandals are welcome too. We gather at 8:30 AM and start our run around 8:40 AM. If people are into it we'll go to have a coffee afterwards at nearby Lakeview Cafe. Meet us there even if you miss the run!

Golden Hour Picnic

From Gist IRL SF

**RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/YhMR8LAbBU0vRPVJQzjw **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later** Hi everyone, Come and watch the sunset go down over the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge while mingling with people from all over the Bay and beyond. Join me for a fun and fabulous sunset picnic that will help you truly connect with people you vibe with in a fun and easy way. We’re going to spend the first hour in quick one-on-one rounds—the Gist IRL app pairs you up with someone that is similar to you based on your interest so you always have something to talk about. It’s just a simple way to have real conversations and break the ice. After that, you'll choose a few of the people you clicked with most, grab blankets, some treats, and find a spot on the lawn to settle in. By the time the sun starts setting over the water, the goal is for everyone to be part of a small crew of 4-6 people sharing food, drinks, and a great view. Whether this becomes your permanent sunset crew or just a really good memory, you’ll be glad you came. The Plan: * 5:00 PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. * 5:05 PM - 6:25 PM: One-on-One Rounds. We’ll have focused chats to see who shares your love for the outdoors and weekend park hangs. * 6:25 PM+: Group Picnic. Reconnect with your favorite matches, form a small group, and claim a spot on the grass. Don’t just walk away with more contacts—let’s actually share a meal and see where it goes. After the night, you can stay in touch through the app without needing to swap phone numbers. A few local spots to grab food on your way: * Greens-To-Go: Fresh vegetarian fare right here at Fort Mason. * The Cheese School of San Francisco: Amazing cheese and charcuterie platters at Ghirardelli Square. * Marina Safeway: The best stop for last-minute blankets, drinks, and supplies. * Marina Deli: Local favorite for huge sandwiches on Dutch Crunch bread. * Lucca Delicatessen: Incredible Italian meats and gourmet snacks on Chestnut Street. * The Interval at Long Now: Perfect for bottled cocktails and elevated picnic snacks. I can’t wait to catch the sunset with you all. Best, Addie **RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/YhMR8LAbBU0vRPVJQzjw **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later**

Summer Picnic | Sports & Board Games @ Merritt Park 🧺☀️

From Bay Area Millennials and Gen Z Meetup Group

Hey everyone! 👋 Summer is here and it's time for our first big picnic of the season. We're heading back to Lake Merritt (near by Puppyland on Google Maps / Apple Maps) for an afternoon of food, games, music, and good company — and it's completely free to join. This is a potluck-style hangout, so please bring something to share with the group — snacks, fruit, chips, a dish, whatever you like. BYO drinks too (the park is open container on the lawn). The more the merrier! We'll have lawn games running all afternoon: 🎲Boardgames 🏐 Volleyball ...and whatever else people bring, ^^ DROP A COMMENT FOR GAMES YOU WANT TO PLAY AND I'LL UPDATE THE LIST HERE There'll be a speaker out with a good playlist to set the vibe while we hang. 📍 Finding us: I'll post a picture and drop a pin right before the event . Whether you know everyone here or nobody at all — come as you are. This is exactly the kind of easy afternoon that turns into a 4-hour hang because no one wants to leave. See you on the grass! 🌿
