Toastmasters Public Speaking - Practice effective Team Communication

Join us for an exciting event where you can **put your words into action**! Toastmasters Berlin is hosting this **in-person event** at the **St. Lukas Church**. It's the perfect opportunity to enhance your public speaking skills, gain confidence, and connect with like-minded individuals. Join us at the **St. Lukas Church** at 7:00 PM and let your words make an impact! **Agenda of the evening:** **Welcome and Introductions:** The Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD) often opens the meeting, who welcomes everyone and introduces the meeting's theme or agenda. The TMOD also introduces the key roles and functionaries for that session. **Prepared Speeches:** A significant portion of the meeting is dedicated to prepared speeches. Members working through various projects in the Toastmasters education program deliver speeches based on their chosen projects. Each speech is evaluated by a designated evaluator who provides feedback on strengths and areas for improvement. **Table Topics:** Table Topics is a segment where impromptu speaking skills are tested. The Table Topics Master presents a series of short, unprepared speaking challenges or questions, and members or guests are invited to come to the podium and give a brief, improvised response. **Evaluations:** Following the prepared speeches and Table Topics segment, evaluators provide constructive feedback to speakers. These evaluations focus on content, delivery, body language, and time management. The goal is to help speakers improve their speaking skills. **Reports and Functionary Roles:** The meeting may include various functionary roles, such as the Timer, Grammarian, Ah-Counter, and others, who report on their observations and contributions to the session. These roles help members improve their language and time management skills. **General Evaluator:** The General Evaluator provides an overall assessment of the meeting, highlighting what went well and offering suggestions for improvement. They may also evaluate the evaluators' performance. **Awards and Recognitions:** Toastmasters sessions often conclude with awards and recognitions, including the Best Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics Speaker. These awards encourage members to strive for excellence in their speaking and leadership abilities. **Closing:** The meeting concludes with closing remarks from the Toastmaster of the Day, who may express gratitude to participants and encourage them to continue their Toastmasters journey. **Networking and Socialising:** After the formal meeting, members and guests often have the opportunity to network, socialise, and discuss their experiences in a more relaxed setting. Evening Worship Service

This service follows a classic liturgical form and includes Holy Communion, offering a meaningful and grounding way to end the week. The liturgy is a bit shorter than our Sunday service. After worship, stay for fellowship and conversation. Whether you are new to faith, returning after a long time, exploring Christianity, or deeply rooted in the tradition — you are truly welcome here. And when we say *all*, we mean **all**. Come as you are. You belong. We celebrate open communion, meaing all are wecome to recieve Holy Communion.
🌟 SPECIAL EDITION: Get Your Chores Done! Co-Working Session

We are organising a coworking + socialising session for all of us who are working on projects (e.g. our own creations, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂 🌟 This week's special: Get your chores done! Fill out those Finanzamt forms, setup your broker accounts or finally get dental insurance. Any other work is welcome too, of course 😉 To ensure that we have time for both socialising AND working, we will be using the so-called “Pomodoro” technique: **50 mins deep work** (silent), followed by **10 mins break** to socialise. And then repeat! You are welcome to join whatever your personal background is, and whatever project you are working on. I (the host) speak English and German, so either language is fine. ——————————————————- AGENDA: * **Short Intro** Tell us who you are and share something about what you will be working on today * **Pomodoro Session** \- 3x \(3h\) Each Pomodoro session consists of 50 mins focused “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, **phones on silent mode**) -> then 10 mins break: a chance to share your progress with others -> Repeat * **15 mins Wrap Up** Celebrate what you achieved and get to know others 😊 ———— Wifi + power plugs are available - but best to bring a fully charged laptop, just in case 🙃 You **do not** have to pay anything. But since we are using the café space, it is common courtesy to buy at least one drink (coffee costs roughly **4 Euros**).

Thanks to our loyal host **Bonial International GmbH** \- we look forward meeting you all on the date\! =================================================== 18:15 - Warming up and networking chat 18:30 - Intro by AWS UG Berlin & Bonial 18:45 - 19:10 - **Alexey Grigorev // Zero-Trust AWS Access for Humans and AI Agents** Alexey will share two real-world stories about managing AWS access securely outside of AWS itself. First, he will show how he organized a hands-on workshop where participants used personal laptops and GitHub Codespaces to provision infrastructure in their AWS account — without ever receiving long-lived AWS credentials. They needed something similar to EC2 instance profiles, but for arbitrary external environments. Then he will talk about AI agents and autonomous tooling. Alexey's agents run on non-AWS servers with intentionally restricted permissions. Sometimes they need temporary access to AWS sandbox environments, but he doesn’t want permanent credentials on those machines. Alexey will show an approach for granting short-lived, revocable AWS access on demand. 19:10 - 19:35 - **Surjeet Singh Sachdeva// A Journey From Five Certification Reschedules to AWS Golden Jacket and AWS Ambassador** In this session, Surjeet will share his journey of working through the AWS certification path, leading to the AWS Golden Jacket, along with the practical steps, discipline, and consistency required to reach it. He will also explain what the Golden Jacket represents in the AWS ecosystem, including the recognition, credibility, and deeper access it brings within the community, and how professionals can approach the certification journey in a structured way. 19:35 - 20:00 - Networking break with food, snacks and drinks 20:00 - 20:30 - **Abdul Wahid // Deep Dive into Bedrock to Implement HITL Architecture** With the help of AWS Bedrock and his personal domain knowledge in the field on banking, Abdul Wahid will demonstrate The Human-in-the-loop (HITL) architecture by adding a layer of foundation model in the process to analyse the fraudulent transaction and return a confidence score.
