Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]

Sat, Oct 24, 8:30 AM
From Silent Book Club - Berlin Chapter
4.8

RSVP on Luma: https://luma.com/pmukzfy Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public. Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles, whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour doing. All projects and all participants are welcome. We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The reading and creating isn't the real highlight, though, it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room. (Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.) Our Meeting Point is the **W66 Café**. There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside food or drinks 🙂 No assignments, expectations, or pressure. Just a shared hour of intentional silence, followed by the opportunity for good conversation. 🕰 Our Agenda **10:30 – 11:00** Arrivals, ordering drinks/food, light social time **11:00 – 12:00** The Great Quiet Hour (Read. Write. Sketch. Code. Think. Sit.) **12:00 – 12:30** Optional socializing: share what you were reading or creating, or simply continue in quiet focus. ## 🏡 House Guidelines To keep this space calm and welcoming for everyone: • Silence during the focus hour (no calls or conversations) • Put cellphones on silent mode • If using technology, please avoid meetings or audio (headphones please!) • Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions

🎲 Neurodivergent Board & Card Game Meetup 🎲

Sat, Nov 14, 1:00 PM
From Berlin Neurodivergent Community
4.8

**Join us for an afternoon of board games/card games, connection, and fun!** Location: Zwischenraume, formerly Curious Fabrications https://maps.app.goo.gl/v8tCPcZugTmRq8HN8 Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to playing games, you're welcome here. We’ll teach you some of our favorites, or you can bring your own game and introduce it to others. **📖 What to Expect** * We’re passionate about board games and excited to share them with you! * No experience needed - we'll decide spontaneously which games we'll play depending on the games you bring and then guide you through the rules of games. We are **happy to help you choose a game** that suits you best. Some games are cooperative, while others are competitive—so there’s something for everyone! If you'd like, bring your own board or card game! Just be prepared to explain the rules to new players. We'll also have an extra silent room for noise sensitive people since some games can be very loud. 🔊 Arriving late? No problem! You may be able to join a game right away or there might be a short wait. 📖 **Event Guidelines** ❤ **Be kind and respectful**—we’re creating a safe and welcoming space together. 🧩 **Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable** (noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, etc.). ☕ Since we’re meeting at a café, **please support the venue by ordering a snack or drink. Outside drinks or snacks are not permitted.** 📖 **Limited Spots & RSVPs** To keep the event enjoyable for everyone, we have a limited number of spaces available. If you RSVP and can no longer make it, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot. This helps us plan games and ensure everyone has a great time! Come as you are and enjoy a space where you can have fun, experience games, and connect with other neurodivergent folks. **We can’t wait to meet you!**

On 31.10 we‘ll meet at S-Bahn Schönholz for an easy 5k run. 🏃‍♀️🧛‍♂️ ROUTE: Into the depths of Schönholzer Heide – Berlin's wildest park (allegedly haunted by jogging enthusiasts from decades past... or is it?) What to expect: ✨ Costumes? Wear 'em if you got 'em! Witch hats, pumpkin caps, vampire capes, zombie makeup – go wild. Not into costumes? Rock your running gear in peace. No judgment zone here. 🍬 Candy Exchange: Bring your favorite Halloween treats to swap and munch post-run. 💚 Pace? ANY pace. Slowpoke? Speed demon? Somewhere in the "creepy crawlies" middle? You belong here. We're inclusive, supportive, and way too much fun to leave anyone out. Why join? *Burn calories so you can eat more candy later (science says so) - Make friends who won't run away from you (literally... mostly) *Discover if Schönholzer Heide truly holds ancient secrets or just really ambitious squirrels - Prove that even vampires need cardio P.S. Dogs welcome too (as long as they're leashed, okay with other runners, and not trying to chase actual ghosts). ❗️Please cancel your participation if your plans changed and you can’t join so that we don’t wait for you. Thank you! ❗️
