**🌇 Barcelona,** a city with a long history of fighting fascism reminds us of how fragile democracy can be. YES WE VOTE brings that history to life with a team scavenger hunt through Barcelona's resistance past. **Teams of five 🖐️** will move through the city solving clues, completing challenges, and uncovering the stories of the people who refused to comply — and won. It's fun. It's Barcelona. And it ends with one reminder that the resistance figured out a long time ago: showing up works. Protest works. Voting works. Collective action works. Come ready to move, think, and leave with your ballot requested. Friends and family are welcome to join! ***Sponsored by the Global and Spain Women's Caucus.*** 🕙**Registration** starts at 10 am at the **[Jardins del Pou de la Figuera](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Jardines+del+Pozo+de+la+Higuera/@41.3875659,2.1769715,524m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x12a4a2fc783183b3:0xd5287541e83e2652!2sJardines+del+Pozo+de+la+Higuera!8m2!3d41.3875619!4d2.1795464!16s%2Fg%2F11g8xf4mgb!3m5!1s0x12a4a2fc783183b3:0xd5287541e83e2652!8m2!3d41.3875619!4d2.1795464!16s%2Fg%2F11g8xf4mgb?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDQxNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D),** Carrer Pou de la Figuereta, 5, Ciutat Vella. Circle Song: Improvised Body Music

Circle Song: Improvised Body Music

Tue, Jun 9, 4:30 PM
From BARCELONA GREEN DRINKS
4.8

**Invitation** **We are the instruments.** A participatory, improvised, embodied practice that reconnects us to one another through rhythm, voice, and play. This is a guided yet fully improvised experience, using the facilitation tools and methods of [Musica do Circulo](https://www.musicadocirculo.com/en). No prior experience is required, only an openness to connect with other humans in your own fun, light and authentic way. Circle songs are an invitation into a fully immersive, fully improvised musical experience using vocals, body percussion and movement. It draws inspiration from musical embodied rhythm practices from around the world, including call-and-response singing, rhythmic clapping games and circle song traditions. *"We are doing something that is so human and so needed, something that we've forgotten." - Igor, circle participant May 2025* Simply by standing in a circle and connecting with our bodies as our instruments, we are reminded that we can find joy and meaning right here in this present moment, and in the next. **This event is donation-based. What does this mean?** It means pay if and what you can, so that everyone can join. It also means spreading the word and bringing your friends to keep this going strong! If you think your company, organisation, team, or event could benefit from a similar experience — please reach out. That's how we sustain it in the long run. **Doors close at 18.45** [Join the WhatsApp community](https://chat.whatsapp.com/IEKLeWAAIxP0I2MFUaSP1c?mode=gi_t) to contact the organisers and stay up to date on all circles! **About Matteo (facilitator):** Matteo is a creative facilitator who uses embodied practices — music, theatre, play — to spark connection and joy. He has spent the last seven years working with Greenpeace and organising the Climate Justice Camps, a global gathering of thousands of young people from around the world. He is a trained Música do Círculo leader\*.\* *[www.matteodevos.com](http://www.matteodevos.com)*
