We are delighted to welcome **Valeria Santoro, Founder and Director of Lightup Impact**, an NGO and social enterprise registered in Austria and Kenya. **Lightup Impact** supports young grassroots leaders across East Africa who are working for gender, education, and health justice. Through training, mentorship, networking, and community-building, the organisation equips young people with skills and connections to lead initiatives and create lasting change in their communities. **This is 100% non-profit. The 15€ sign up fee for everyone is only to minimize last-minute cancellations. The total sum goes to a bar-tap that everyone can use to order drinks until the amount is used up. ‼️NO REFUNDS‼️** **‼️Please don't just show up without RSVPing here and paying the 15€. We have a separate room that has limited capacity and a specific drinks agreement with the bar - so splitting up the bill won't become a mess.‼️** **Small update on how your money get's used from May 2024 onwards:** As of this month, meetup.com has started charging me 34€ instead of 16€ per month. I've decided to distribute this fee evenly among all us participants every month. Example: In the last 12 meetups, the average number of attendees was 17. **Please note that we invite people through different channels, so there are more attendees than you can see here :)** In The Discussion Experiment we usually meet to talk about political, philosophical and personal topics, but sometimes we just want to have fun, therefore we will run another music listening night: What can we discover when we don’t just listen to music while doing something else, but as a group and in silence? What will catch our attention and how does the group setting change the experience? At this event, we’ll take some time to listen to different songs, let them have an effect on us, and share whatever we care to put out there. After each piece, we’ll take about five minutes to share our impressions. You can spontaneously suggest songs to listen to but don’t stress about choosing the „right“ song! From the most sophisticated masterpiece of music history to Aqua’s Barbie Girl, you can suggest whatever you are curious about that night. Or, in fact, you can just listen and not contribute actively, if that’s what you prefer. Join us, it will be fun. Anyone and everyone is welcome! **This is a paid event. Entry costs 7€ plus a fee that meetup charges.** It is free however for regular guests (if you have been to 2 or more events) and you are also very welcome to join for free, if you currently have to be careful with money. Damit wir die Plätze dort weiterhin nutzen können, gibt es eine kleine Bitte vom Manifesto: Jede(r) von uns sollte sich kurz etwas bestellen — zum Beispiel einen Drink an der Soot Bar (unten geradeaus bei den WCs) oder eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Falls das nicht klappt, müssten wir spontan nach Neukölln ausweichen, aber wir würden super gerne im Manifesto bleiben! Danke euch fürs Mitmachen! 🙌
