Mens Thursday Night Hike And Reflection Group
Fri, Sep 11, 2:00 AMThe plan is to build a community of guys that will have the chance to gain support in nature and from each other every other week while moderately exercising both the body and the mind. This will be a moderate hike. Poem/Quote: # “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ―Rumi An idea of what this will look like: -We will start with an optional dedication (whatever is on your heart) -Informal walking meditation (you can choose to focus on your walking) -Poem share or mindfulness prompt (I'll get us started by posting something in the chat and in person. -Optional sharing about what's going on in your life. We encourage the 4 principles of speaking and listening from the heart, being lean of speech, and giving each speaker a chance to share without interruption. What you will need: A headlamp with a red light setting to truly enjoy the night hike. Sturdy shoes/sandals/boots. Water/Snacks A good attitude To sign a release of liability waiver Let's hike together, with our breath, and enjoy! Event is cross posted with a mens group. Nibble Night - Bsides Soldering Meetup
Sun, Sep 13, 2:30 AMNibble Night is back again! The ScriptKitty team is building cat-shaped, flipper compatible Mesh radios for classes at BSides events this year. Come help us build Nibbles, learn surface mount soldering, and get your own Meshtastic/Meshcore radio! Come build with us, or just hang out and see how hacking tools are made. If you have experience with soldering or pick and place assembly (or want to learn), come join us for a fun night of music, pizza, and making electronics! We’ll be giving LoRa node kits to volunteers who can help us build for more than 2 hours, but anyone is welcome to hang out and see how electronics are made (and sometimes destroyed)! We’ll be building the Nibble Zero, a Flipper Zero compatible LoRa mesh radio, that also works just fine on its own! These cute Mesh nodes will be powering workshops at Bsides events, teaching beginners how to get started with Meshcore, Meshtastic, and Reticulum. We have limited table space available, but anyone is welcome to hang out at NSL!
