From Öffentliches Gestalten – shaping public sector’s future

European governments have created great external dependencies in their digital infrastructure. Much of public digital infrastructure depends on foreign components, platforms, and systems. With increasing urgency, civic activists, journalists and security experts have warned about potential dire consequences. In recent years, cities, states and even countries have responded by investing in their digital sovereignty. They cut decade-long IT contracts, open source code, and look for more agile suppliers to make their tech stack more modular. At our September meetup, we will hear what digital sovereignty entails, why it’s desirable and how we get there. We will welcome the following speakers: * Amanda Kraley, Sovereign Tech Agency (confirmation pending) * Anke Obendiek, DigitalService des Bundes * Lisa Steigertahl, Deloitte * Powen Shiah, Sovereign Tech Agency CityLAB Berlin hosts the event in their stunning 1920s space, a former airport building. All presentations will be given in English. Questions in the later discussion part can be raised either in English or German. **Melodic Masterpieces** *an open Music Creation Session for Producers, Singers & Songwriters* This program is structured into a repeating 4-week cycle, with each week focusing on a key stage of the music creation process—from initial inspiration to a fully mixed production. At the end of each month, the cycle resets back to Module 1. This allows for continuous repetition, progressive skill-building, and flexible entry at any stage of the cycle. The workshop is led by **experienced producers who have worked with major artists, record labels, management teams, and global brands**, bringing real-world industry insight into the creative process. This workshop is designed for **beginners / intermediate-level participants.** ‍ > Connect with fellow Musicians, develop & turn Your ideas into finished tracks. **Module 1: Music Theory, Sample Selection & Sound Design** This module covers the core foundations of music creation. Participants learn essential music theory concepts, how to choose effective samples & how to design original sounds. The focus is on building a strong sonic and musical foundation for ideas & tracks. **Module 2: Beat & Groove Programming** Development of rhythm, drum patterns, and groove-based elements. I will explain my working theory, the processes I use to get that high contrast image to get deep shadows, and how to backlight and balance the lighting so you can have a usable image for post processing. This will be a collaborative exercise where I will be the guide. Note: There are only 12 spots and this will be a popular one!
