This event is free, and all fitness levels and walking paces are welcome. As part of Audiobook Appreciation Month, we're proud to partner with Libro.fm. Every audiobook purchased through Libro.fm supports local independent bookstores, making it easy to enjoy audiobooks while supporting the indie book community. šŸŽ‰ Participants can also enter Silent Book Club's Audiobook Appreciation Month giveaway for a chance to win a free year of audiobooks from Libro.fm, audiobook bundles from Penguin Random House Audio, and exclusive Silent Book Club merchandise. Giveaway link is in our bio. šŸ“– New to Libro.fm? Sign up for a membership using the Silent Book Club promo code (link in bio) and receive two free audiobooks to start your listening journey. **\*GET TICKETS AT:** [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brooklyn-bridge-singles-sunset-date-walk-tickets-1990110109911](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brooklyn-bridge-singles-sunset-date-walk-tickets-1990110109911) (\*First 5 ladies save $5 by using discount code "5" at checkout. Multiple groups are co-organizing so the RSVP's shown are just a very small portion of the total members attending. Space is extremely limited as this event sells out every time.) Kick off Spring by joining fun and friendly singles for a sunset stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Our "Date Walks" are very casual and non-awkward way to meet others. Your host will be there to make introductions and will have everyone rotate, asking the men and women to switch so everyone gets a chance to talk with everyone. We will first meet at a Starbucks where you can grab a drink for your walk. Then we'll walk a 1.5-2 mile stretch to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to NYC. We will also hang afterwards in a nearby area. FAQs: **How many will attend?** We limit the # of attendees to 30 so that everyone has enough time to get to know each other. **What are the ages?** We'll have a good mix of ages and everyone usually finds others in their age group. **What if rains?** We will email attendees a new date. **Can I come alone?** Yes, about 90% come on their own. **How much?** $15-$25 depending upon when you get ticket and # of spots left. June Book Club Meet Up - The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett

From Boozy Bronx Book Club

**šŸ“š June Meetup — Black Authors / Diaspora Fiction** **Hey Book Friends!** June is all about powerful storytelling from across the African diaspora and we chose a book that is deeply engaging, emotional, and perfect for a layered discussion. šŸ“– **This Month’s Theme** Black Authors / Diaspora Fiction šŸ“˜ **Book Pick** ***The Vanishing Half* by Brit Bennett** This bestselling novel follows twin sisters who grow up together but ultimately choose very different lives, leading them down paths that intersect with questions of identity, race, belonging, and reinvention. Spanning decades and generations, the story explores what we carry with us, what we leave behind, and how our choices ripple through family and time. It’s beautifully written, emotionally sharp, and incredibly thought-provoking without feeling heavy. Expect a mix of character-driven moments, big themes, and plenty of ā€œlet’s talk about thatā€ discussion points. No spoilers, just come ready to reflect and share perspectives. šŸ“… **Date & Time** Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 1 PM šŸ“ **Location** Bronx Alehouse Pull up, grab a drink, and settle in. This is one of those books where everyone walks away with a different take, and that’s what makes the conversation so good.
