Social Chess

This is a social chess meetup. Even if you don’t know how to play or are an absolute beginner you are welcome to come socialize and maybe even get a lesson. I will be teaching free lessons, just ask me when you are there and if there is time I will give you a lesson.. I will provide 3 chess sets & clocks enough for 6 players. But I do ask that if you can please bring a set (& clock if you have it). Thank you.

Social Chess & Tournament at The Living Room at Pier 57 (indoor restaurant hall)

This event is also being run by my friend John. You can RSVP to either or both of our meetups. The "Living Room" is a large indoor space of lots of tables and sofas just past the food hall, which contains lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Walk past the restaurants, look for us at the semi-circle table (see picture above) in "The Living Room" area. If you hit "El Bar", you've gone too far! I have a few chess boards, but please bring a chess board if you can. All skill levels are welcome! This is a completely free event.

October book club

**Helllo welcome to your fall book club book announcement** **Our book is A-Time for witches. By Madeline Martin** **You will get your book however you like to read** **You will enjoy the book. At your own home. Or wherever you like to read best. I like to give you a long window as we all have lives that get in way of us curling up with our book. Start date is Friday Oct 2 nd** **We aim to be done Nov 6th that’s six weeks** **Meetup will not allow me to put that date on our site as it’s an extend amount of time not allowed also do not look at meetup map for location there isn’t any** **Your book ,your home. And a final meetup book club meeting will be announced after everyone is done with book. This is a way to get us to unwind , slow down and read more books. While making some time for ourselves. Hope you can join me**

Tuesday Cavendish Bridge & Backgammon Club

Join us for a Chouette or Match Night of Backgammon. 3 - 4 Player chouette game. Opening at 7:00pm & Chouette play start at 7:30pm. **RSVP** to be included in a 2 hour Chouette or 7 Point Matches. 1st & 2nd Place Prizes The Chouette's Last Game is 9:30pm - so it is a timed event On Tuesdays at Backgammon New York City BGNYC we are back to serving light snacks, wine, beer, tea, and coffee. Backgammon Sign-in & Boards on the 12th floor. We will close around 11:00 pm. Please bring your board if you have one (if you don't, we have a limited amount on hand).
