Whether it's painting, weaving, writing, or something else, just bring your own materials and we can all chat and enjoy some time set aside for creativity. All experience levels are welcome. This event is free, but we will collect voluntary donations at the end for the neighbourhood center who is hosting us. We will also have some materials for lino cuts available which you can use for a few euros :) Please also read the main group page before joining the event. We can't wait to see you there ^^ \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Hast du auch dieses kreative Projekt, das irgendwo in den Tiefen deines Gedächtnisses verstaubt?

How to the find the FOODFACTORY Cube Berlin (Effe&Gold):** Washingtonpl. 3, 10557 Berlin [https://g.page/foodfactorycubeberlin?share](https://g.page/foodfactorycubeberlin?share) This is just our gathering spot this time. From there we go together to Gärten der Welt. **2.) Going to Gärten der Welt:** We'll use public transport to get to this place. If you live in the east, you can join us directly in the garden. **3.) Exploring Gärten der Welt:** We'll first get lost in the maze. Afterwards we explore the Korean Garden and have dinner nearby. Next goals is the Chinese Garden to the see the diversified stage program including traditional dance, music. The grand final is the light show and the fireworks at the stage. Authentic Chinese, Korean and Japanese food will be available at certain food stalls. *Who is this meetup for:* 1\. Asians who want to practice German and/or English\. 2\. German speaking individuals who are studying \(preferably\) Japanese\, Korean\, Mandarin or Cantonese\. 3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\. *What you can expect:* 1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\. 2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\. 3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\. *** Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?" You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did. From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach. “A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily. Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on. Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship. This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

Let's unfold September together at **[Blumental](https://blumental-berlin.de/)**, one of our favourite venues with warmth and excellent hospitality --- join us in this folding adventure and you will not be disappointed! 🤩 What you can expect at all our events: * **In-person folding practice for all levels** – beginners and experienced folders are equally welcome. * **Origami paper + model instructions will be provided** (from the host’s collection, for reference only). Feel free to bring your own favorite sheets or tools! * **Donation of an amount of your choice** – this supports essential costs like the Meetup subscription and keeps our community thriving 🌱 You can either submit a physical donation to the event host in person or make a digital donation here (and inform the host afterwards). * Photos may be taken for memories & our archive (Meetup, [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/origamiandbeyond/) and [Telegram](https://t.me/+T4URs80l2ig3NWNi)) – let the host know if you prefer not to appear. * **We kindly encourage everyone to order at least one drink/snack to support** **[Blumental](https://blumental-berlin.de/)** **for hosting us!** ⚠️ **RSVP Policy – Please Read** ⚠️
Our community has grown a lot since its birth in August 2024, which is amazing — but it also means we need to handle RSVPs more carefully: * RSVP opens 7 days before each event (apart from short-notice events) and closes at noon on the event day. * Please cancel your spot or contact the host directly (via Meetup message function or our [Telegram](https://t.me/+T4URs80l2ig3NWNi) channel) by noon on the event day if you can't make it last minute. * Members with 2 no-shows (without notice) will be removed from the group unless a valid reason is provided. Thank you for helping us keep Origami Crafters Berlin respectful, reliable, and fun! 🙏 Get in touch if you have questions and see you all at the folding tables very soon! ☕️🍁

Cards on the table 🥭♦️🃏🎯

Cards on the table 🥭♦️🃏🎯

Sun, Sep 6, 1:00 PM
From Mango People 🥭

A little competition. A lot of chai. And Maggi before you leave. 🍜 For our next Mango People gathering, we’re *putting the phones down and the cards on the table.* Think of it as the kind of Sunday afternoon you’d spend at a friend’s place — a table full of cards, people getting slightly too competitive, chai being poured, hot pakoras disappearing faster than expected, and conversations happening somewhere in between. 🎯 We’ll have a **mix of card and group games** going around the table. Some you’ll know, some you might learn on the spot, and absolutely no gaming expertise is required. *Come solo, with a friend, your partner or your favourite +1.* And because we take the snack situation very seriously, there’ll be chai & chilled aam panna, hot pakoras, desi snacks and, later in the afternoon, Maggi. 🍜 **What’s on the table?** ♠️ Card & group games ☕ Chai 🍷Aam panna 🥟 Hot pakoras 🍿 Desi snacks 🍜 Maggi 📅 **Day & Date**: Saturday, 6 September ⏰ **Time**: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM 📍 **Location**: Monbijouplatz, Berlin **Tickets** *Early Bird* Single — €29 Couple — €54 *Regular* Single — €35 Couple — €64 💳 **RSVP via PayPal:** https://www.paypal.me/ssuhany Please add your name + “Mango People” in the payment note. Your spot is confirmed once payment is received. We’re keeping this one small, so spaces are limited. No refunds. Come hungry. Bring your competitive side. We’ll see you around the table. 🥭

Wed, Aug 26, 12:00 PM
From JAPANESE CULTURE CLUB
4.8

Explore the fascinating world of Japanese calligraphy! Everything you need is provided, so just come along and enjoy a relaxing creative experience. Japanese calligraphy was introduced from China in the 6th century and later developed its own distinctive style in Japan. Even today, it is appreciated as both an art form and a way to cultivate concentration and inner calm. In this workshop, we will practice writing various kanji and turn them into small works of art that you can take home with you. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy discovering this Japanese art! 書道のワークショップを開催します。 皆さんと楽しく練習して、最後には作品が作れればと思っています。 道具もすべてこちらで準備していますのでぜひご参加ください!
