We are hosting a casual evening at the Yonkers Canvas and Cocktails Creative Mixer for anyone in the area who enjoys making art or just appreciates a good creative environment. This is a chance for us to step away from our solo projects, meet some new neighbors, and share ideas while we unwind. Whether you are a professional artist or just someone who likes to doodle on the weekends, you will find a welcoming group here to connect with. The goal for this gathering is low-pressure conversation and community building. We have set this up to be an easygoing space where you can grab a drink, talk about what you are working on, or simply listen to others in the local creative scene. There is no formal agenda or expert presentation; it is just a time for us to get to know each other better. If you are free, we would love to have you join us. Bachata Group Class

**Come learn to dance at NYC's most beautiful ballroom studio!** We teach lead and follow, not a list of moves — so you can dance with anyone, not just the person who learned the same pattern... Saturday afternoons, an hour of bachata, whether you've never tried it or you've been faking your way through it at parties. It's the most forgiving of the Latin dances to start with — the footwork is simple enough to pick up in one class, and everything after that is feel. Come with a partner or come on your own; we rotate, and nobody sits out. Salsa follows at 2:15, and taking both is $10 off. Details — Saturdays, 1:00–2:00. $30 per class, or $50 for both Saturday classes. No partner needed. Come in something you can move in and shoes that slide easily on a wood floor — leather or suede soles are ideal, but not required. Each class stands on its own and the material changes week to week, so there's no catching up to do and no wrong week to start.

Tai Chi & Qigong - an hour of calm and quiet

This meeting is in person in our studio on 29th Street. We start with a Qigong warmup, Tai Chi basics, and the practice and learning of the Yang 24 Tai Chi form. We start with this classic Yang 24, and them move on to the "Wu system" - elegant, slow, powerful. The Yang 24 introduces all the basic Tai Chi elements and you'll get a good sense of what makes Tai Chi so special. Stick with it, and you can your way your way to sword, saber, cane, fan and more! Depending on who is attending, we end class with a Qigong set suitable for the moment (5 Elements, 13 Luohan or something else intriguing.) Of course, "Push Hands" is part of any Tai Chi system, and we often end the class by exploring Tai Chi moves with a partner. This meetup in intended to give you space to focus - on breathing, on your body, your mind, and on your health - without distractions. We relax and move with awareness and balance.
