On Wednesday, October 14th let’s crochet together! 🧶 Details below: 6:30 to 8pm Location TBD (will announce by September 30th) Take a break from your phone, slow down, and connect through the simple joy of creating with your hands. All levels are welcome! Never crocheted before? I’ll teach you from the very beginning and guide you step by step. Already know how to crochet? Bring your favorite pattern or project, and I’ll help guide you through it. Or simply come as you are—no pressure, no expectations. Just crochet, conversation, and a peaceful moment to be present and connect with others through crafts. What to bring: Please bring your own crochet supplies if you have them. I’ll have some yarn and crochet hooks available for you to use, but it’s always best to bring a yarn you love and enjoy working with. Any yarn, any brand, any color! A small pair of scissors is also recommended. No experience needed. Just bring yourself and a willingness to create. 🧶✨ Of course, please reach out if you have any questions! October 2026 Knit+Wine Night

**Join us for our next Knit+Wine Night on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 5-7:00pm.** **Please note that** **space is limited to 15 people.** **For those of you who are new to Knit+Wine Night, this is an informal community event for knitters (& other crafters and textile enthusiasts) to come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other makers. All types of knitters, crocheters, and fiber crafters are welcome!** \*\***This is \**not\* a class.*** **The cafe has a focused menu of beverages, including tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a small selection of pastries.** **Please note you must make a purchase in order to enter the cafe. The staff is wonderful and welcoming!** **NOTE a change in the way you sign up. Historically we have had too many who sign up and not show up. In order to accommodate all who intend to participate your $3.00 payment must be made to reserve your space. Those who do not will be relieved from the attendee column and a waitlist paying participant will be moved up. You are cordially invited to a sewing Meet-Up Sunday afternoon at the Bayside Historical Society. Sewers and quilters of all levels are welcome and will find inspiration and guidance. We have three sewing machines you can reserve, or bring your own, or stitch by hand. We will set up our creative camp in the upstairs ballroom that is full of sunlight and views of the open fields and Little Neck Bay. Use this time to work on your wardrobe, a quilt, or an embroidery project. If you would like to reserve one of our machines, let me know when you RSVP. To get to the Meet-Up tell the guard at the Ft. Totten entrance that you are part of the sewing group at the Castle, and he will direct you. Parking is permitted on Sunday on Murray or Weaver Avenues (ignore the signs). You may pull into the driveway to unload by the ramp at the rear of the building, but unless walking is difficult for you, please do not leave your car in the driveway as it is rather narrow and can block other vehicles. Be advised that the Meet-Up is up a flight of stairs. There is no elevator. **Attendance Fee:** $10 cash, or $8 for members of the Bayside Historical Society.

BX Craft at Large — a Bronx-based extension of the Craft at Large network — is bringing that community home, so Bronx makers finally have a place of their own. Join us for the very first BX Craft at Large meetup — a chance to meet fellow Bronx-based makers, talk about what we want this community to become, and start building something together. No experience required, just curiosity and an interest in making things with your hands. For our first meeting we will introduce the co-organizers and hosts, get to know each other and our crafts, and then engage in a group activity.
