Freegan Craft and DIY Salon

For this freegan craft day we will be exploring how to create new items from found and repurposed materials. **We’ll be creating decoupage boxes, broken jewelry crafts, recycled candles, and more!** Feel free to bring your own crafts to share, as well as any broken jewelry or beads and bits to create from. June 2026 Knit+Wine Night

**Join us for our next Knit+Wine Night on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 5-7:00pm.** **Please note that** **space is limited to 15 people.** **For those of you who are new to Knit+Wine Night, this is an informal community event for knitters (& other crafters and textile enthusiasts) to come together to work on their own projects and enjoy the company of other makers. All types of knitters, crocheters, and fiber crafters are welcome!** ********This is \*****not\** ***a class.************ **The cafe has a focused menu of beverages, including tea, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, and a small selection of pastries.** **Please note you must make a purchase in order to enter the cafe. The staff is wonderful and welcoming!** **NOTE a change in the way you sign up. Historically we have had too many who sign up and not show up. In order to accommodate all who intend to participate your $3.00 payment must be made to reserve your space. Those who do not will be relieved from the attendee column and a waitlist paying participant will be moved up. Sip & Paint at Wine & Design

Let's get together to paint! We'll be meeting at Wine & Design in Montclair to paint on canvas. The painting for this day will be Citrus Got Real. Cost is $39 You can bring something to drink and a snack. (Must be 21 or over to bring wine). \*\*\*Wine is only an option. Sew and Socialize at the Castle in Fort Totten

You are cordially invited to a sewing Meet-Up Sunday afternoon at the Bayside Historical Society. Sewers and quilters of all levels are welcome and will find inspiration and guidance. We have three sewing machines you can reserve, or bring your own, or stitch by hand. We will set up our creative camp in the upstairs ballroom that is full of sunlight and views of the open fields and Little Neck Bay. Use this time to work on your wardrobe, a quilt, or an embroidery project. If you would like to reserve one of our machines, let me know when you RSVP. To get to the Meet-Up tell the guard at the Ft. Totten entrance that you are part of the sewing group at the Castle, and he will direct you. Parking is permitted on Saturday on Murray or Weaver Avenues (ignore the signs). You may pull into the driveway to unload by the ramp at the rear of the building, but unless walking is difficult for you, please do not leave your car in the driveway as it is rather narrow and can block other vehicles. Be advised that the Meet-Up is up a flight of stairs. There is no elevator. **Attendance Fee:** $10 cash, or $8 for members of the Bayside Historical Society.

DIY Bookmarks with Linden Silent Book Club

🎨📚 Get crafty with fellow readers at our DIY Bookmarks Event! Join us for a cozy, low-pressure afternoon of reading, creativity and conversation as we design our own custom bookmarks using a variety of materials! No artistic skill required. This is all about relaxing, getting creative and meeting other book lovers in the community. Just bring yourself and your current read! All materials will be provided, as well as drinks and snacks. 11:00-11:30 - Grab a drink/snack and settle in 11:30-12:30 - Reading hour 12:30-2:00 - Bookmark making All readers and creatives welcome ✨

Scrabble for Competitive play

This is going to be competitive scrabble 2 player games no 3 or 4 player games allowed. So, this not a social Scrabble game. It is played for competition. Both players must maintain cumulative scores of each other. The purpose of this group is to foster future advancement of scrabble players skills no cheat sheets will be used and no looking words up in the dictionary. If you have the skills come join us. We will be using the NWL2023 dictionary. Please bring pens and paper if you can. I will have boards and racks and pens and paper.
