We are gearing up for the LGBT Network’s **[National Coming Out Campaign](https://lgbtnetwork.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=516a805b22127090e69b5fc41&id=e1111abbd6&e=109f5062a6)**, that engages communities to take a stand against the discrimination, violence, harassment, and bullying of LGBT people by coming out in support of safe spaces where they LIVE, LEARN, WORK, PLAY, and PRAY. People participate in the campaign by wearing a rainbow ribbon, a symbol of LGBT pride and history, as a way to visually “come out” in **support of safe spaces for LGBT people**. **You can help** us prepare for this important event by helping us cut ribbons – last year we cut and distributed more than 954,000 of rainbow and trans pride ribbon and this year, with your help, we intend to break that record. **Tuesday, September 15th, 6:00-8:00 PM EDT** **Presentation & Discussion** **Twenty Years of Service Design** Roberta Tassi, in conversation with Antonio Cesare Iodarola and Sara Manzini **Event Description** *“For twenty years, every single day, I’ve been either explaining to somebody what service design is, or trying to prove to a client the value of the design approach, and today more so.”* This event is a reflection on the service design value and practice, and how it has been changing and adapting to the evolutions in the broader context. From advocating for the adoption of human-centered approaches, to accompanying digital transformation processes and, more recently, supporting AI transitions: what has changed and what has not? What are the core competences to protect, strengthen and even expand? And how does our service design work translate into impact on the communities, companies and businesses we serve? The talk will feature stories from past projects and introduce emerging frameworks and models, to set the ground for an open conversation and exchange of reflections. Helping the homeless to get off the streets this winter

Hello all, https://bowery.volunteerhub.com/vv2/ I was extremely saddened by this weekend's brutal killing of 4 homeless people in lower manhattan. I have contacted the Bowery mission to help and see what we can do as a community to provide food and shelter for the homeless. This is an endless effort. I encourage you all to helpout whenever, and whatever you have to get them off the streets, and to clean up the shelter and talk to the government to get programs incentives to allow landlords to use up their vacant space, even if its a few months for the winter. Many of you do not know that homeless people choose to be outside, because they don't feel safe in shelters. Or because of their illness that they do not want contact with people or helping themselves. Bowery mission helps manhattan folks - with shelter/ food/ clothing. Please help 1 at a time.
