Games night – Second Serve

Once a month, we slow things down. No courts. No rushing. Just good food, easy conversation, and a social that actually feels… social. This is the **Second Serve games night** — a more relaxed, sit-down version of the group. 📍 **Venue (Croydon / easy access)** We rotate between: * Cosy restaurants with bookable tables * Private/semi-private dining spaces * Quiet venues where we can actually hear each other (Final location shared after approval) 🕒 **Format (Monthly Saturday)** * **6:30 – 7:15pm** → Arrivals + dinner orders * **7:15 – 8:15pm** → Dinner & natural conversation * **8:15 – 9:45pm** → Games + guided social * Wrap up on time — no dragging the night out 🎲 **The Twist (What makes this different)** This isn’t just “dinner and hope for the best.” We structure it lightly so it never gets awkward: * Small tables (4–6 people max) * Subtle **table rotations** (optional, not forced) * Simple games that spark conversation, not competition 💬 **Conversation Style** No cringe icebreakers. Come hang out with us at Perkyns N15 for our Monthly Board Game Night - it's all about fun, games, and good vibes! Welcome to **Monthly Board Game Night at Perkyns N15**! Join us at **Perkyn's** for a fun-filled evening of board games with friends and fellow enthusiasts. **Perkyn's** is a neighbourhood Cafe and late night Bar, offering Craft Beer, Natural Wines and Hot Drinks! Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the world of board games, this event is perfect for everyone. Every month there will be classic games such as Dominoes, Chess, Blackgammon, Cribbage, UNO, plus modern classics like Catan, Ticket To Ride, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Azul, Codenames and more! Board, card & dice games night at my place or the Pepper (depending on numbers)

Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us every Wednesday evening, for as long as you like between the hours of 6pm and 11pm (when the pub closes). Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as there are plenty that live at the pub, and plenty more that regular members bring along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can come along any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 7pm (when attendees trickle in), don't worry! Everyone comes and goes whenever they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or last to leave. Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but it is respectable to the public venues we hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. Mafia Games (and Picnic) in the Park - Beginner Friendly

**Welcome to Mafia Games (and Picnic) in the Park!** With summer having arrived, we thought we’d have a few games of Mafia in an outdoor space. The plan is to meet around Regents Park (precice location tbd but likely around Broad Walk Cafe) We will be playing a few games of Mafia, if you are new you are very welcome to come - the game is easy to learn (but difficult to master!) We will have a couple of picnic blankets but please feel free to bring your own blankets/folding chairs if you’d like. **Do I need to know anything beforehand?** This is a casual **beginner-friendly** event in the park, and most of you will be playing with us for the first time. You will get to play many games. Most importantly, this is a social activity, so feel free to talk to anyone between the games and have fun! **What is Mafia?** Have you seen 'The Traitors'? Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game; it can get competitive, but it's easy to learn. We play at multiple tables. You get a secret role and work with your team to win. A game lasts about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. While this is a **beginner-friendly** event, we also host tournaments and online events with more experienced players from around the world. Monday games (beginner friendly)

Come and play board games! Join us for tabletop board and card games such as Just One, Colt Express, Saboteur, Potion Explosion and Wingspan. Monday nights are aimed at welcoming players who are new to modern board games. We always try to make sure that someone is happy to teach games and welcome new people on the night, so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. We don't charge a fee for attending the Meetup, but you will need to pay the venue's game session fee of £8 per person (unless you have a Gold or VIP [Ludoquist membership](https://www.theludoquist.com/collections/membership-2022)). Please arrive by 18:50 in time for everyone to get into groups for the main games to start at 19:00. We will start arriving from 18:30 if anyone wants to join early for short games and chat. We are excited to welcome you to our Social Tabletop and Party games. 👾 You can also find us on Meetups. On this occasion we hope to bring you a thrilling deduction game of Blood On The Clocktower. Blood on the Clocktower is a 5–20 player Hidden identity game (similar to Traitors, Mafia or Werewolf) where a good team tries to identify a the evil team before they eliminate the whole village. High player interaction, with unique character roles, and a Storyteller to guide the game. Our regulars always bring a wide selection, also *you are welcome to bring your own games*. We have a beautiful location in the garden of The Old Bell. We will be in the back. I'll make sure not to miss you. Relaxed Mafia (Beginner Friendly)

## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. If you can't afford this though, then don't let this stop you coming! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

If you speak french or are learning french this is the place for you. We are hosting a language club to socialise, practice language and to build community. It is hosted in the boardgame cafe Otter Chaos, in Brixton.
