Mafia Games (and Picnic) in the Park - Beginner Friendly

**Welcome to Mafia Games (and Picnic) in the Park!** With summer having arrived, we thought we’d have a few games of Mafia in an outdoor space. The plan is to meet around Regents Park (precice location tbd but likely around Broad Walk Cafe) We will be playing a few games of Mafia, if you are new you are very welcome to come - the game is easy to learn (but difficult to master!) We will have a couple of picnic blankets but please feel free to bring your own blankets/folding chairs if you’d like. **Do I need to know anything beforehand?** This is a casual **beginner-friendly** event in the park, and most of you will be playing with us for the first time. You will get to play many games. Most importantly, this is a social activity, so feel free to talk to anyone between the games and have fun! **What is Mafia?** Have you seen 'The Traitors'? Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game; it can get competitive, but it's easy to learn. We play at multiple tables. You get a secret role and work with your team to win. A game lasts about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. While this is a **beginner-friendly** event, we also host tournaments and online events with more experienced players from around the world. Relaxed Mafia (Beginner Friendly)

## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. Brazilian Maracatu Percussion (Drum) Class – Beginners to advanced

Open weekly Maracatu percussion classes for all levels – beginners to advanced – Newbies very welcome! The classes are run by Sam Alexander, a professional musician, teacher, and artist. He leads the community group Baque de Axé in London, which plays traditional Maracatu Carnival percussion music from Recife in Pernambuco, Brazil. Beginners Brazilian Drumming Workshop

Our Alfaia beginners access 3 hour weekend workshop covers the basic techniques and rhythms for Maracatu on the Alfaia bass drum. No previous musical skills required. Drum provided. Our community of percussionists (and dancers) is a friendly family of people from all over the world who have come together to meet new people and share a love for music, dance, and expression.
