A Cure For Brainrot is a non-fiction book club reading philosophy/politics/psychology paired with a film each month. This month, Freud & Scorcese. **Make Your Brain Work Good** At our September 2026 session we will be discussing: Book: *The Future Of An Illusion* by Sigmund Freud Film: *Silence* (2016) by Martin Scorcese We don't read or watch the materials at the event. We will be using the film to help us understand and apply the ideas in the text and critique both. **Event Details** We meet in the Genesis Cinema foyer, 7-9pm, on the last Wednesday of each month. Social bridge south of the river

Join us for social bridge without the formality of a tournament. Advice on bidding and play Is available to those who are still learning the basics. I sometimes bring along set boards for improvers to work through if they so desire. The Royal Oak is one of London’s most traditional pubs, and serves an excellent range of beers and drinks. They Also Serve Sunday roast til about 7pm. There is a £1 fee (or £5 per year) to cover Meetup fees and we do ask that you spend at least £5 at the bar.

Fun and experienced doubles badminton! We play over four courts each Tuesday, bring your own kit and racket. £10.00per person for 2hrs; quarterly payments should be discussed with Eli is desired. if less than 24 notice is given for a cancellation then the session fee will have to be paid. we need this so other people on the waiting list can attend. We play with plastic shuttle on most courts; feather available as advance request. Important note: Our club is paid for by individuals; as such your attendance and payment is required when making a commitments to play - as a matter of respect, please ensure that you consider this when saying you will attend. We are opening up a few spots each week for advanced players only to attend our members club night session with a view hopefully to joining the club permanently. Any known members of other clubs that have no intention of joining the club who sign up will not be allowed to attend. We play on 4 courts at Swiss cottage leisure centre from 8-10pm. We play with feather shuttles and charge £12.50 per session. Shower/change room facilities are available. A water fountains is available outside the venue, though we recommend bringing your own water in case it is not available.
