LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH so **IT'S DRAWING NIGHT AT SQUISHFACE** Join us at Squishface's studio space in South Melbourne: Studio Hall, on the grounds of St Kilda South Port Uniting Church on Dorcas St. There are FOUR TRAMS you can catch from the city. **58, 96, 12** or the **1!** It is even walkable from the city. Bring your sketch books, bring your pens, bring a friend. It's not a class - it's a drawing hang out. All skill levels welcome. Always lots of regulars, always newies. Be socially awkward, be confident as heck. This is informal, it's just a free drawing session. Go ahead and bring snacks. But no nuts please! Join us for a chill artsy afternoon, bring any art supplies you like 👩‍🎨🎨📝✨ Access to O3Space requires you to have the minimum ( FREE! ) membership that you sign up for when you download their app. Simply download the O3Space app, create a profile and use the QR code at the gate to enter/exit the building. The gate is located inside the tram on the right side of the cafe ☕️🚊 The free membership allows you in the building for up to 3 hours per week, if you go over they might charge you so make sure to use the QR code on your way out!! There is a timer countdown in the app so you know how long you have been there ⏰

A Quiet Art Evening (Self-Guided) Saturday, 1 August, 6:00pm — 8:00pm Venue: 5 Ellingworth Parade, Box Hill This is a quiet, self-guided (untutored) space to slow down, create, and spend time alongside others. Bring your own materials and something you’d like to work on. It’s an evening to create unhurriedly in a shared space — to make, reflect, and simply be. Through art, we hope to create a gentle space for connection, encouragement, and shared presence. We hope this will become a simple monthly rhythm — a place to keep returning to, to create, connect, and enjoy the process together. If this resonates with you, feel free to RSVP here. PS. So join us for a playful and creative afternoon where we’ll slow down, connect, and explore what’s on our minds through colour, conversation, and a little imagination. No artistic experience is needed, just bring yourself and an open mind. Through a mix of games, collaborative art, gentle breathwork, and creative prompts, you’ll discover that sometimes the best conversations begin with a little D.I.Y. art. Join us as you are and leave with new connections, fresh perspective, and art that’s uniquely yours. When: 08 August 2026 \| 12:00 pm Where: Mercato Centrale Melbourne Tickets: $25 (first five tickets are $12) What’s included: art materials, guided facilitation, good vibes, and great company Flow of the event: 🎨 Round 1 — Pictionary Hustle We will kick things off with a light-hearted game of Pictionary. The first team to crack the challenge will get an early clue for the next activity. 🧩 Round 2 — Decode & Paint Each team receives a mystery prompt to solve together. Once you’ve decoded the clue, you’ll create a collaborative painting inspired by your interpretation. There are no rules, no right answers, and no expectation to be “good” at art, just creativity, curiosity, and teamwork. 🌿 A Moment to Breathe Before our final activity, we’ll pause for a short guided breathing exercise to quiet the mind, reset, and make space for reflection. 🖌️ Round 3 — Colour Your Thoughts The final activity is a personal one. You’ll create two simple artworks: one representing where your mind is today, and another representing where you’d like it to be. This session is about expressing yourself in a way words sometimes can’t.

Nature, Sketch and Connection

Free event! Join me for our first, free, very casual meet up event, where art meets connection and wellbeing. Meeting point is at the cafe at the entrance of Royal botanical gardens. We will walk along and find a spot to settle, and sketch as we chat, just because💚 No artistic skills are needed, I can share how those simple activities can promote our wellbeing. Bring your sketchbook, drawing materials (anything you want to use). Feel free to come and go as you need to. The event focus is to bring wellness through engaging in art, walk, and nature🎨✨ *if the weather is not great, we will find a nearby cafe and sketch there.

Mandala Symbolism: Personal Mandala Drawing Sessions

‘*Mandalas have been used as an aid to contemplation and meditation by various cultures all over the world for over five thousand years. The word ‘mandala’ comes from the Sanskrit word for ‘sacred or magic circle’ and represents symbolic drawing inside a circle.’* Georgina Fode Join Art Therapist and Theosophist Nina Mazurek on the first Thursday of each month for an hour of hands-on mandala work - a Melbourne Theosophical tradition first established by Georgina Fode. Within a safely held and respectful space, each attendee will be guided to create an oil crayon mandala at their own pace, in response to a chosen topic and preceded by a ‘remember who you are’ meditation. Each class will be a nurturing opportunity to explore our inner yearnings for wholeness and containment, that may help to propel self-healing and enable further understanding of the self. Drawing ability is not necessary. People with all levels of drawing skills, including those who think they can not draw at all, will benefit and progress through this work, producing mandalas with deep personal meaning; reflections of their inner journeys’ progress.
