Sketchbook: Sunday Portrait Session Tower Hill
Sun, Oct 4, 10:00 AMLet's sketch each other's portraits! I'm experimenting with something new here, let's all meet up in a coffee shop and sketch each other's portraits! The session will be super casual, we can all sit around and have a chat and sketch pictures of each other. I am more than happy to give feedback or pointers if anyone would like. Let's see how it goes :) We will have a sit in CoffeeM, Tower of London. It's a lovely big space so we should have plenty of room to sit in groups or break off into pairs if needed. It would be great if attendees could purchase a coffee or something small to help support the venue, although this isn't mandatory. https://maps.app.goo.gl/nJeRAUiUFr8V3z3k6 I'll be there from 11 and we'll go until 1pm, look for a ginger man with glasses and a sketchbook 8) Nearest Tube Stop: Tower Hill Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend. Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- About Sketchbook London Every week we will choose a location around the magnificent city of London and draw people, buildings, pigeons, bins, anything you want.... No payment, no pressure, no need to sign up, just show up and draw for a couple of hours. All levels, abilities and professions welcome, bring a friend! Zero pressure to interact, network, impress in any way, this is just a way to get out and about and appreciate the joy of urban sketching and all the weird and wonderful creatures that inhabit this thriving metropolis. I am a storyboard artist working in animation and I am happy to discuss sketching techniques or give feedback on any work but this is by no means an exclusive event for artists, all are welcome :) \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- ## Sketchbook London Meetup Code of Conduct **Everyone is welcome.** We aim to provide a friendly, inclusive and respectful space to sketch, learn and meet others. Sketchbook: Temple Station Gallery
Sun, Oct 25, 11:00 AMLets sketch in the outdoor art gallery on top of Temple Station! This is a fun hidden gem of the city, a free outdoor modern art space on top of Temple Station. We will meet outside the entrance of Temple Station, I'll wait for about 15 minutes for any latecomers and we can head right on top of the station there, very easy to find. Afterwards we can then meet back at 1pm and compare drawings! If the weather looks rubbish I will think of somewhere else to go and let you know. Sun, Oct 18, 10:00 AMLets sketch in the sculpture room at the V&A South Kensington I love this set of rooms, there's tonnes of amazing sculptures here. Sculptures act as such effective life drawing models cus they don't move! If anyone wishes to sketch any other part of the museum they are of course welcome to. We will meet outside the main entrance on Cromwell Road at 11am, I'll wait for about 15 minutes and then we will head in to the sculpture room together.
