Being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and supporting someone you love through their struggles, aren't often things that get named together. A lot of the time, there are spaces designed for one or the other. *It's time that this changes.* Express Yourself is a creative journalling group for LGBTQIA+ people navigating care. Whether you're supporting or providing care for a parent, sibling, partner, chosen family or friend - whether it's visible or invisible. This is a space to bring your whole self. **What to expect:** Two hours of creative journalling run by two family and carer peer workers who identify as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Creative prompts designed for you. Sharing is optional. No experience is needed. Free. Knitting and Crocheting with Conversation and Coffee at Kindred Studios

**Description**: Join me to knit or crochet in the warm, friendly environment of Kindred Studios where we can share our skills and ideas. Knitters, crocheters and crafters of all abilities are welcome. The conversation is relaxed as we work on our projects together and it's a great way to make new friends. The Bass Note Cafe is within the studios and will bring great coffee and delicious snacks to our table. **Agenda**: I'll meet you at 10.00am inside Kindred Studios at the large table near the tiered seating. We have the space available until 12.00pm. **Location**: Kindred Studios 3 Harris St Yarraville Street parking is available nearby in Harris, Cowper, Hyde and Whitehall Streets. There are large red signs on the footpath to guide you to Kindred Studios. If you are coming by train take the Williamstown/Werribee line to Seddon Station. Grab your art supplies and a picnic blanket or camp chair and let’s get together for an artsy hangout on the grass outside Balam Balam Place 👩‍🎨 all kinds of artists and skill levels are welcome to join! If you aren’t sure what to create the club has a weekly theme, just ask me what the prompt is! ☕️ The Home Economics cafe is at the entrance to the main building if you want to grab a drink or sit inside the cafe area ☔️ If there is rain this event will either be moved to Brunswick Library or cancelled ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. East Melbourne Easy Landscape Sketching Class

**✨ An Hour of Sketching, With Feedback on Your Drawing** Always wanted to draw? This beginner class starts at the time of this event and takes you from blank page to finished sketch in an hour. No art supplies to buy: any pencil and plain paper will do. This session is **Landscapes**: trees, hills, paths and skies, and how to give a view depth. When the class ends, photograph your drawing and send it in. A reviewer looks at your page and writes back with what's working and what to try next.
