Compassion Unites in the Park

**Compassion Unites in the Park is a free community gathering where we come together to explore simple yet profound yogic practices designed to cultivate inner peace, resilience, vitality, and conscious living.** **Each gathering includes guided meditation, breathwork, gentle yogic techniques, and group discussion in a welcoming outdoor environment. Whether you are completely new to meditation or have an established practice, you are invited to join us as we learn, practice, and grow together.** **The practices shared come from Yoga of Immortals (YOI), a system curated by Dr. Ishan Shivanand, a mental health researcher and master teacher of ShivYog. These time tested practices have been the subject of scientific research, demonstrating significant improvements in well being, including reductions in symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and depression, along with meaningful improvements in overall quality of life.** **Our intention is simple: to create a space where people can experience greater balance, clarity, connection, and compassion while building community together.** **All gatherings are offered free of charge as a service to the community. For those who feel inspired to support the continuation of these events, optional donations are welcome. Atheists Volunteer FOOD DISTRIBUTION! Come help and give out food!

[Atheists United](www.atheistsunited.org), California's largest grassroots atheist nonprofit, is fighting the emergency food crisis with our partners [Sunday Assembly Los Angeles](www.sundayassemblyla.com) by hosting a food distribution in Los Angeles outside our offices. We've partnered with the LA Food Bank and give out over 3,000lbs of food each event. **We need volunteers to help us assemble and organize food packages from 12pm - 5pm every third Friday.** From 3:30pm - 5pm volunteers will help hand food out directly to those in need in the neighborhood. From 5pm - 6pm we'll clean up and celebrate everything we accomplished together. Music and snacks will make it well worth your time. AU Food Distribution -- Volunteers Needed!

3rd Annual Jaycees Field Day!

Welcome to the 3rd annual Pasadena field day! Join us for a casual afternoon of food and fun as we compete in fan favorite outdoor games in teams! Look forward to kickball, tug-of-war, and more. This event is open to both members and non-members of the Jaycees. Come and meet us if you're not yet a member! There is a $10 participation fee that can be made in advance or day of to our Venmo @Jaycees-treasurer. **Hi All, Wahayn Here,** **MEETUP TIME - 5:45 - 7:45 PM** **DO YOUR BEST TO GET THERE AT 5:45, WE WILL BE LEAVING NO LATER THAN 6:00 pm.** I am Back, let's head out on another adventure. We’ll be repeating this walk every two weeks until further notice. Come join me for a fun and active evening as we continue our bi-weekly **10k-Steps Walking Challenge!** **AGENDA;** **\- Gathering at 5:45 \- 1485 Virginia Rd\. And while 15,000 or 20,000 steps would be great, they also require more time. Walk to Frank Lloyd walk homes

We will meet in the parking lot or sidewalk next to parking lot at Barnsdall Park then go up the hill to see the Frank Lloyd Wright (Hollyhock house) homes. **It is a UNESCO world heritage site.** [https://www.barnsdall.org/](https://www.barnsdall.org/). After we return can get tickets and go inside. We will see great view of LA up there. Then we will walk go to see the house designed by his son, the Sowden house AKA as Jaws house. The Aviator was filmed there and many other movies.
