Social Beach Volleyball, then Dinner at the Restaurant or Takeaways. **🏐Who is it for?** All Level Players - Beginners, Intermediates to Advanced. For all ages - most of the people that came to our events are in their 20s & 30s. If you are beginner, please don't hesitate to ask our organisers for quick run down of passing and serving. If you are not a beginner, help or encourage beginners how to play better. Have fun and enjoy the game. 📍**Where** **Coogee Beach** North Side of the Beach, near the small boats, near Coogee Pavillion Look for Blue Copaya Net or yellow net, Boombox speaker or blue IKEA bag. Coogee Club volleyball sometimes also there, that is not us. 🎫**Event Ticket** Event Ticket at the event is $3 from each attendees to help pay meetup cost, buy new nets, balls & other equipment for the events. *Available tap to pay using card or phone at the event or cash or payid.* **🏐Volleyball Game Time** **2:00pm - 2:30pm** Practice Session (Passing, Serving, Spiking, Teamwork) **2:30pm until 6:00pm** Games (Non Daylight Savings Time) **3:00pm until 8:00pm** Games (Daylight Savings Time) ***Maintain respect to each other's space. Please follow game rules below.*** 📌V**olleyball Game Rules** * Max 3 hits per team * A block does not count as one of the 3 hits * Encourage passing or setting the ball to your team mates * No double hits (except after a block) * No touching the net * Serve behind the court line * Ball out = point to other team * No catching, kicking or throwing the ball * Rotate when your team wins the serve from the opponents * If your team is already serving and wins the point → no rotation * Communication is encouraged to avoid collisions (Say mine! or my ball) * No interference or distraction of the opposing team * Fix the net if loosen * Play safe and communicate with team mates * Help setup/pack up the nets and balls * Do not lose any pins * Avoid kicking the ball as sand can hit other people's eyes We will be playing 6v6, 5v5, 4v4 at Coogee Beach on rotation so that everyone who attends gets a chance to play. We will have 2-3 nets for everyone. **Winning team stays, losing team allow next team to play. Or both teams allow next teams to play if we have a lot of people waiting.** The idea is to play the game and go to a restaurant/bar after for more socialising, game activities. **🍽️🍺🍸Dinner Time** **(Bring shoes, passport or driver license to get into any venue)** *Let us know if you are joining dinner.* Beach Burrito Co or Chargrill Charlie's Coogee, or Coogee Hotel, Coogee Pavillion for food and drinks. **6:30pm-9:30pm** **Dinner** (Non Daylight Savings Time) **8:00pm-10:00pm** **Dinner** (Daylight Savings Time) Extra: Bring card games or any other game ideas for during dinner or after dinner to make socialising more fun. MEETING: Circular Quay Wharf 2 🌸✈️🌸 TIME: 10:05, for the 10:15 ferry 🌸⏰🌸 DETAILS: We take the ferry from CQ across Sydney Harbour to Watsons Bay. The walk hugs the Harbour foreshore via Vaucluse, The Hermitage track, Rose Bay, Double Bay, Darling Point, Rushcutters Bay then through historic Paddington to The Reservoir 🌸⛱🌸 LUNCH: Rose Bay, Lyne Park 🌸🍽🌸 COST:💲5️⃣ cash gratuity or (donation)for this walk.💵 🌸💲🌸 DISTANCE: 1️⃣4️⃣kms 🌸🦋🌸 THIS WALK IS GRADED AS: Absolutely stunning! Our walking group is a fabulous Melting Pot of cultures, backgrounds, professions and life experiences. We love our Walks. We are INCLUSIVE OF EVERYONE………if you’re: kind, nice, fun, polite and respectful. 🌸😘🌸 On that note…. In recent times my walks are at capacity, which I’m capping at 40. Regulars, regardless of numbers are always welcome….just PM me if you’re on a waitlist. 🌸♥️🌸 We walk at a medium pace of 4kms per hour, stopping for breaks and to take in the views. It is a reasonable expectation that the group stays together. It is your responsibility to stay in line of sight. If you cannot walk at this pace, I will let you know of the next get out point. This is not negotiable. 🌸🐌🌸 As this is a walking group, bikes, ebikes, scooters, escooters, and pogo sticks are not compatible or welcome. 🌸👣🌸 Grading for my walks:
Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 🌸✍️🌸 Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me. The waitlist is completely discretionary….reliable regulars will ALWAYS be included. 🆗……….If you are a no show, you will not be welcome to join a future walk with me. (It’s a courtesy kind of thing). If people are on the waitlist, it is also very inconsiderate. Marking yourself as “Not Going” within 2 hours of departure does not allow reasonable time to notify anyone on the waitlist. 🌸🙅‍♀️🌸 On the odd occasion, the walk may change from the schedule, due to weather, unforeseen track obstacles OR emergency situations. 🌸🤞🌸 Please make sure your conversation is always courteous to other group members. 🌸😍🌸 PS….
