She seeks to understand how invertebrate biodiversity is structured on both evolutionary and ecological scales. She is particularly interested in how patterns of invertebrate biodiversity reflect urban socio-ecological heterogeneity and the consequences of these patterns on ecosystem functioning. Our hike will take us to the panoramic views at Sam's Point before continuing to the famous Ice Caves, a maze of narrow rock crevices, ladders, and cool passageways where patches of ice can often linger well into the warmer months thanks to a unique natural microclimate. It's unlike any other hike in the region. The classic route to the overlook and Ice Caves is about 3.4 miles round trip, This hike is considered moderate difficulty due to some rocky sections and ladders through the caves. **Even though this is not the most difficult hike, it has some moderately challenging parts. If yu are expecting an easy simple hike and are not ready for the challenge, DO NOT JOIN!** After, we'll head to Warwick Valley Winery, Distillery & Orchard to slow things down.
