Drunk Werewolf 🍷🐺
Sun, Jul 26, 1:00 PMThis is a special edition: We lost a bet (long story), so this week only we’re hosting Drunk Werewolf 🍷🐺 Bring your favorite drinks, your best bluffing skills, and a sense of humor. We’ll explain the slightly adjusted (and slightly chaotic) rules when you arrive. IMPORTANT This edition is all about fun, laughter, and not taking things too seriously. Ambitious gamers will not have as much fun as we will. If you’re more into classic, focused Werewolf without distractions, don’t worry, we’ll be back with our regular sessions very soon. Drinks are part of the experience, so this one is best suited for people who are happy to join in 🍻 (Of course, no pressure to overdo anything, but drinking is kind of the concept today.)

Blood on the Clocktower at Manifesto! (beginner/intermediate)
Sun, Aug 2, 1:00 PMHi folks, this is the meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in the Soot bar in Manifesto at Potsdamer Platz. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!** Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters. Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception… think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team – the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle – or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers. We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case. We are very grateful to the wonderful folks at Manifesto for hosting our meetup! **Please support the venue during your visit by buying drinks and/or food.**

denkmallab: Heritage Escape #01 – Eisenhüttenstadt
Sat, Aug 8, 7:15 AMI'm planning a day trip to **Eisenhüttenstadt** this August, and if anyone would like to join, you're very welcome. Rather than sightseeing, I enjoy exploring places slowly—walking, observing, taking photographs, sketching, or simply experiencing the atmosphere without rushing. I started **denkmallab** as a way to discover architecture, landscapes, and cultural heritage through quiet, shared experiences. For this first **denkmallab Heritage Escape**, we'll visit one of Germany's most fascinating examples of post-war urban planning. We'll walk from the station through Eisenhüttenstadt's historic residential districts and public spaces, continue towards the Oder river landscape, and return through quieter neighbourhoods. Along the way, there will be plenty of time to stop, take photos, have a coffee, or simply enjoy the surroundings. This isn't a guided tour, and there isn't a packed itinerary. It's simply a relaxed day out with people who enjoy architecture, design, photography, history, nature, or slow travel. * **Meeting point:** S Ostkreuz, Platform 13 * **Train:** RE2 towards Cottbus, departing at 09:40 (Please arrive **09:15** so we can meet before boarding!) * Regional trains only (Deutschlandticket works) * Day trip (morning departure, evening return) * Everyone pays for their own transport, food, and drinks. If this sounds like your kind of day, I'd love to have you along! **Please fill out this short form before attending:** [https://tally.so/r/9qxNlK](https://tally.so/r/9qxNlK)

Silent Reading Club
Sun, Jul 26, 9:00 AMDitch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The usual agenda: - Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes) - Silent reading (~1 hour) - Discussion (~30-40 minutes) - Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like! You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you! No registration needed – the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.
