We provide chess, checkers, scrabble, backgammon, and cards--though you're welcome to bring any of your favorites. Enjoy a sensational view of jets landing at LAX under our beautiful shade canopy. Our food has been featured on the Michelin Guide since opening, and our cocktail and wine lists have received awards from PUNCH and Wine Spectator, respectively. Indie RPG Game Night (Geeky Teas)

WHAT IS THIS EVENT? At **Indie RPG Night** we gather to play story games and independent role-playing games (RPGs). These games are similar to role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) but tend to be simpler to learn, and have more shared narrative control for all players. WHO IS THIS FOR? Any experience level is welcome, with no prior knowledge required. Almost all games are meant to be played in a single night (sometimes called *one-shots* or *episodic*), so no regular attendance is necessary. WHAT GAMES DO WE PLAY? We play games that allow us to come together to have a good time telling a story collaboratively. We do not generally play games with a win condition. Some games we play have a game master (GM) and players, similar to D&D. Other games are “GM-less” or "GM-ful", and have no game master, where the rules of the game have us share narrative authority so we all have similar control over the story. Some examples include: * Apocalypse World * Blades in the Dark * Dream Askew * Fiasco * For The Queen * The Quiet Year * Microscope WHAT GAMES DO WE AVOID? We avoid role-playing games that may require players to have prior knowledge of rules (which is often the case with RPGs such as D&D). Many of us love board and card games, however this is not the event for those games. Note that some story games have elements that may look like board and card games, however we play games that share our goal of coming together to collaboratively tell a story. Although some board games have narrative elements (such as Above and Below), or can be played in a narrative manner (such as Arkham Horror), these do not meet our criteria. If you have any doubts, please talk to one of the organizers. It is also important that games played conform to our Community Standards (https://bit.ly/StoryGamesLA-CommunityStandards). WHERE AND WHEN IS THE EVENT? Locations vary so check the meetup event for the current location. On this night we play at **Geeky Teas & Games** in Burbank. We plan to meet up starting at 6pm, and pitch games promptly at 6:30pm. The venue closes at 10pm. Games tend to normally last 2-4 hours. Note that Geeky Teas requires a $8 cover fee that you pay directly to them upon entry to the venue. HOW DO I ATTEND? If you plan on attending, please RSVP here. We have tables reserved but space may be limited, so we will prioritize people who RSVP if we end up having too many folks. We will try to accommodate everyone best as possible. If your plans change, please update your RSVP as early as possible so we have an accurate count. You should not need to bring anything with you, however always feel free to bring writing utensils, dice, note cards, and so on. WHAT ARE THE RULES? We try to provide an inclusive space, and do not tolerate harassment or prejudice of any kind, including that based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or disabilities. If you are new to the group and the events, we ask that you play the first few times to get a feel for the games we play, and for the environment and our community. After doing so, you simply need to bring the materials needed to play: rules, printouts, notecards or blank paper, tokens, printouts, and so on. Werewolf Tournament / New Card Testing Night

**Werewolf Tournament / New Card Testing Night** This will be a **small Werewolf session** designed for players who already know the game and want to jump straight into deeper strategy and experimental roles and a more challenging advanced/challenging event. We’ll be running **five structured games with 16-20 people**, each capped at **45 minutes**, using **new cards and role combinations** that we usually can’t try during our larger regular events. This is a chance to test more complex setups, unusual win conditions, and advanced strategies in a focused group of experienced players. **Tournament Format** • **5 total games** • **45 minutes per game (game timer instead of round timer)** • Roles and setups change between rounds • Players stay in the same pool for the full tournament **Scoring System** Points accumulate across all games. At the end of the last game, the player with the **most total points wins the tournament**. **2nd and 3rd place prizes as well.** **Prizes** The winner will receive **special prizes**, which may include: • Copies of Werewolf / social deduction games • Power items that can help for future Werewolf nights (i.e. infinite tower of defense) • Other fun additional surprise prizes **Requirements** Because we’ll be jumping straight into complex roles and faster gameplay: • This event is **limited to a small group** • Players should already understand the core rules and flow of the game If you enjoy pushing the game further and want to experiment with new roles and strategies, this is the night for it. Werewolf setups: 45 minute game timer, I will keep all night phases moving, days only end with a kill Village team - 1 point Werewolf team - 1 point Independent team (vampires etc)- 2 points Independent solo win (lone wolf etc)- 3 points 5 rounds - whoever has most wins is 1st place in the tournament, 2nd and 3rd win prizes as well In the result of a tie in any of the top 3 places we play one final small tie breaker

Come hang out and play *Blood on the Clocktower*, a super fun social deduction game full of bluffing, guessing, and a little bit of chaos. **About Blood on the Clocktower** This is a social deduction game where \*everyone\* gets a secret role—some players are trying to solve the mystery, while others are secretly working against the group. You’ll be chatting, accusing, defending yourself, and trying to figure out who’s telling the truth (and who’s definitely not). Even if you get “killed,” you’re still in the game and part of the action -- you win or lose with your team at the end of the game. It’s easy to pick up, really engaging, and a great way to meet people or just have a memorable night. **Beginners and Veterans Welcome** Whether you've never played before, or are looking to play some more complex characters and scripts, we'd love to have you. Just show up ready to play and have fun. **Cost** Admission is $10, paid at the door, and includes pizza, drinks, and various other snacks. Studious Coworking graciously maintains and provides this event space and does a lot of the heavy lifting in creating third spaces and building community. Join the Los Angeles Ultimate Werewolf Game Meetup Group for a fun-filled evening of social deduction games! Ultimate Werewolf is an interactive game (part card game/part board game-similar to Mafia if you’ve ever played that) of deduction for two teams: the village team and the wolf team. Players on the village team don't know who the wolves are, and the wolves are trying to remain undiscovered while they slowly eliminate players on the village team one at a time. Each player receives a card with their role at the beginning. If it sounds confusing, everything will be walked through at the beginning. Whether you're a seasoned werewolf player or completely new to the game, this event is perfect for making new friends and testing your wits against others in a thrilling game of deception. Bring your best strategies and alliances as you navigate through the hidden identities and attempt to uncover the werewolves among us. Not only will you have the chance to play Werewolf, but you'll also have the opportunity to socialize with fellow game enthusiasts in a welcoming and friendly environment.
