The Art Syndicate's weekly games night has been running for over two years. The regulars keep coming back. That's the whole story, really. Come as you are. **If you've got $10 to spend at the bar, that's what keeps the collection growing**. Social Beach Volleyball, then Dinner at the Restaurant or Takeaways. **🏐Who is it for?** All Level Players - Beginners, Intermediates to Advanced. For all ages - most of the people that came to our events are in their 20s & 30s. If you are beginner, please don't hesitate to ask our organisers for quick run down of passing and serving. If you are not a beginner, help or encourage beginners how to play better. Have fun and enjoy the game. 📍**Where** **Coogee Beach** North Side of the Beach, near the small boats, near Coogee Pavillion Look for Blue Copaya Net or yellow net, Boombox speaker or blue IKEA bag. Coogee Club volleyball sometimes also there, that is not us. 🎫**Event Ticket** Event Ticket at the event is $3 from each attendees to help pay meetup cost, buy new nets, balls & other equipment for the events. *Available tap to pay using card or phone at the event or cash or payid.* **🏐Volleyball Game Time** **2:00pm - 2:30pm** Practice Session (Passing, Serving, Spiking, Teamwork) **2:30pm until 6:00pm** Games (Non Daylight Savings Time) **3:00pm until 8:00pm** Games (Daylight Savings Time) ***Maintain respect to each other's space. Please follow game rules below.*** 📌V**olleyball Game Rules** * Max 3 hits per team * A block does not count as one of the 3 hits * Encourage passing or setting the ball to your team mates * No double hits (except after a block) * No touching the net * Serve behind the court line * Ball out = point to other team * No catching, kicking or throwing the ball * Rotate when your team wins the serve from the opponents * If your team is already serving and wins the point → no rotation * Communication is encouraged to avoid collisions (Say mine! or my ball) * No interference or distraction of the opposing team * Fix the net if loosen * Play safe and communicate with team mates * Help setup/pack up the nets and balls * Do not lose any pins * Avoid kicking the ball as sand can hit other people's eyes We will be playing 6v6, 5v5, 4v4 at Coogee Beach on rotation so that everyone who attends gets a chance to play. We will have 2-3 nets for everyone. **Winning team stays, losing team allow next team to play. Or both teams allow next teams to play if we have a lot of people waiting.** The idea is to play the game and go to a restaurant/bar after for more socialising, game activities. **🍽️🍺🍸Dinner Time** **(Bring shoes, passport or driver license to get into any venue)** *Let us know if you are joining dinner.* Beach Burrito Co or Chargrill Charlie's Coogee, or Coogee Hotel, Coogee Pavillion for food and drinks. **6:30pm-9:30pm** **Dinner** (Non Daylight Savings Time) **8:00pm-10:00pm** **Dinner** (Daylight Savings Time) Extra: Bring card games or any other game ideas for during dinner or after dinner to make socialising more fun. Those who want to bring food and drinks at the beach to enjoy during the game are free to do so, **please** **do not throw your rubbish on the beach, take your rubbish with you or bin it.** **🎒What to bring with you** Water, sunscreen, hat and jacket in case of unexpected weather. **SHOES**\*, ID or PASSPORT\*\* to enter to any venue in Coogee. **🪧Safety**: For your safety, please look after one another and ensure you and others are safe and comfortable. **🎚️All Levels** **Beginners**, **intermediate** and **advanced** players are welcome.
