**Join us for Luludi Living Art’s Spring Plant Swap, a free community event for plant lovers of all kinds.** Bring 1–3 healthy plants, rooted cuttings, plant babies, or small pots to exchange and take home the same number. It’s a fun and easy way to refresh your collection, share with others, and connect with fellow plant enthusiasts in the community. Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or just starting your collection, all are welcome. Please bring only healthy plants and label them if possible so everyone can swap with confidence. In-Person Soft Pastels Drawing Class in Art Studio in SF

**Please sign up directly on our website: sweetartssanfrancisco.com** GOALS 1\. Acquire familiarity with the media and the tools\. 2\. Develop drawing\, and blending skills\. 3\. Developing the ability to work with layers\. 4\. Increase students' ability to perceive and match values\. OVERVIEW Our art teacher will offer a demonstration, guiding students step-by-step, from start to finish. You will create a simple landscape pastel drawing to take home at the end of class. No drawing experience is necessary since the course is for beginners, and we will provide all the materials. SPECIFICATIONS In this course, the student will draw with soft pastels from a selected photo reference, using a light mid-tone paper surface, and blending tools. The mid-tone surface allows the student to add value when making the colors darker and subtract value when making them lighter. Working in both directions will add a natural and realistic character to the drawing. The student will start with a simple sketch, using lines to create a basic shape while considering the proportions. Then the student will find and apply the values to the drawing using analogous soft pastel colors, creating areas of colors indicating light and shadow. The student will be using blending tools to create a color gradient while working on layering the soft pastel colors. Lastly, we will create a shadow for the object in the background and use lighter colors to reveal the illumination source.

Thank you for visiting our group - Charcoal Drawing Class! We meet on Saturdays, 5:00-7:00pm, in my art studio located in San Francisco. All are welcome, whether you are a total beginner who want to explore, learn, or just have fun... or a more experienced artist who might want to freshen your techniques, pick up where you left off a while ago, or just enjoy the experience of drawing in a group setting and share the joy of creating art. My art studio is a place for kids M-F after school and we have day camps during school holidays. We have been in business since 2019. I have decided to include adult art classes on Saturdays and Sundays, and now we have oil painting classes 2-4:30pm, and drawing classes 5-7pm. On Sundays are have soft pastels drawing classes. We will draw still life. If there's a request for a live model, please let me know! It's a wonderful place for everyone to get together safely to have fun, learn, and bring home a beautiful piece of artwork that you have created! Acrylic Painting Class

This acrylic painting class is guided by your art teacher step by step, with instructions from beginning to end. She will emphasize landscape composition, light and shadow, and depth concepts, such as background, middle ground, and foreground. You will learn how to blend and how to use different techniques to show texture. You will create a landscape painting, from drawing, to mixing colors, and expressing your unique style. SF Columbarium!

The SF Columbarium funeral home is a special place where remains are stored. This area was originally a cemetery and over the years the houses and businesses have closed in on the property. The central dome is an amazing collection of stained glass, tiled Flores and four levels of interesting art and niches. The outside is a gorgeous building . We will meet at the office at 10 am. Show and tell outside. Please do not sit on the monuments or put anything on them. No open water inside the dome. Eileen 415-305-0802
