Come along whatever your professional background! Tech, finance, law, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, retail, fashion - all welcome - whether you've engaged with art before or not. Feel at home. This tour will introduce you to Australian and international artists working in painting, photography and sculpture - covering a range of subjects. Listen to fascinating stories. Introduce yourself to each other, make new friends, interact with gallery staff, and have fun! **MEETING TIME:** 12:00 Noon – 12:10 PM. **MEETING POINT:** Outside “Bar Latte”, 29/235 New South Head Road, Edgecliff NSW 2027. The café is right next to Edgecliff Station entry/exit on New South Head Road. You are welcome to buy a coffee. **START AND PROGRAMME:** We will begin at 12.10 PM at Edgecliff Station and move towards Paddington. Midway we will stop at a corner shop where you can enjoy a bite. **END:** We will end the walk by 2:30 PM near the bus stop in Rushcutters Bay for your convenience. **PRICE OF TOUR:** Please pay $20 by cash on arrival. WE HAVE ONLY THREE PLACES AVAILABLE FOR THIS COURSE DRAW II . Urban Landscapes This is a seven week course focussed on an urban landscape on Sydney Harbour. Urban landscapes provide an opportunity to draw structure within the landscape which is a great way for beginner drawing students to segue into landscape and the different drawing approaches for that genre. The first session is spent drawing on-site in a Sydney Harbour location learning how artists make studies that are useful as reference material for works created and developed in the studio. Weeks 2 – 7 in this course are spent in the studio with experienced artist [Carmel Byrne](www.carmelbyrne.com) to help develop ideas and to experiment further with materials and scale in drawing. Students must provide their own materials for this course and we’ll back up in the studio with any materials that will help extend your vocabulary in drawing along with scale and techniques. You will be introduced to basic pouring techniques and art-theory. Followed by a demonstration of pouring paint. You get to create your own painting on a 15×20cm canvas. We then discuss how you found the experience and what you will like to try out perhaps for next time. Please note paintings usually take 3 to 4 days to copleately dry, the varnish can be applied to finish them after that to complete the artwork. If you would like to take them home on the day, please bring a tray or cardboard for ease of transportation. Wearing old clothes and sneakers to the workshop are recomended (just in case of paint spilling). Before the workshop You may like to google flow art techiques on utube, for Ideas of techniques you may like to try. Just come along and enjoy the experience and the fun in flow art.
