Come Sing Show Tunes!

This event consists of an informal concert in which the performers are all of us! We'll take turns singing Broadway show tunes. All musical levels are welcome, whether you're an aspiring musical theater star or just someone who belts out show tunes in the shower. If you feel shy about singing a solo, it's okay to come and listen. We'll also do some group singing. Please think ahead and pick one or two solos you'd enjoy singing (this is not a firm commitment, you can change your mind if you get the jitters). Depending on how many people choose to sing, you'll either get to sing one or both of your songs. We don't usually have an accompanist, so after you pick your song(s), you can search for a suitable accompaniment on YouTube. Let's Improvise: Improv Dojo - Oakland Improv Class

The Improv Dojo is a place to do improv. It is a chance to play, explore and develop. We explore scene work, theater games and related acting exercises. It is part drop-in class and part practice session. The Improv Dojo is for improvisors ready to explore . Beginning and experienced improvisors welcome. Dojo attendees include Pan troupe members, Dojo regulars and people brand new to improv. Whether you're a beginner looking to try improv for the first time or a more seasoned player looking for a chance to play - the Improv Dojo is for you. There is nothing X-rated, but some of the questions would be considered R-rated or involve adult themes. HOW IT WORKS: This completely online event will be LIVE and you will be able to see and hear the other participants while playing. In addition you will get to meet and interact with other participants. At game time, your host will read off several survey questions on a variety of topics. Your goal is to come up with the number one answer to each question and write it down on your paper. Once the round is over (about 6 questions), we will go through the answers and determine who had the highest score for the round. The winners will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. Prizes will be an Amazon Gift card! Monthly Movie Happy Hour

**We are hosting a Monthly Movie Discussion Happy Hour at the Flying Pig Bistro in the Mission every 3rd THURSDAY of the month!** Join us for an evening of movie talk with your fellow movie lovers. We'll start by forming groups where people will take turns sharing 1-2 quick movie reviews of what they've watched recently (no spoilers unless the group decides it's ok). After group sharing is done we'll mix and mingle for general discussion. Please come prepared to share at least one movie review with your group. The Flying Pig has a great selection of beverages (including non-alcoholic) as well as food for dinner or snacking. Please consider purchasing something to support the Flying Pig since we are not paying for the venue. Let me know if you have any questions!
