Hoping the show will be his ticket back to Broadway, impresario Corky St. Clair (Christopher Guest) rounds up a cast of enthusiastic but untalented locals (Eugene Levy, Fred Willard, Catherine O'Hara) to perform his masterwork. But, when Corky reveals that theater agent Mort Guffman will attend the opening, things really kick into high gear. The importance of facing the audience in the right way [https://youtu.be/VO7EXv-dVYA](https://youtu.be/VO7EXv-dVYA) 2\. The importance of not saying "no" to everything in a scene: [https://youtu.be/GjptDwG96e8](https://youtu.be/GjptDwG96e8) **Why is my status saying "Unpaid" even though I have paid?** This is due to a bad design feature of the Meetup website, please ignore it! **Keeping up with the latest news and related fun events** Go to our Facebook Discussion Group. This is a fun way to share improv/comedy clips, discuss improv and generally chat with the cool members of our group! [https://www.facebook.com/groups/2112357978921450](https://www.facebook.com/groups/2112357978921450) **What if it rains?** The bridge has been chosen for this reason! A large concrete apron exists under the bridge - easily measuring 5 metres deep and at least 10m long. More than enough space to perform in and yet still provide shelter from rain. **Can you help promote my event / group / cult?** Yes.. but within reason! We love to help our members who are doing awesome and creative projects. The problem is that because we get asked to promote things so often, we cannot do so via social media posts. As this would cause our members to be "spammed" and announcements about upcoming events to get buried. However, there are still two ways we can help to promote your project. Firstly, please feel free to post on our Facebook Discussion group. Secondly, you are also welcome to post in our [Meetup Forum](https://www.meetup.com/Theatre-Games-in-the-Park/discussions/), where your post may be seen by our 1,800+ members. Lastly, we may be able to help in additional ways if you wish to share an opportunity for our members to perform. In this case we may be able to send a Meetup Message to our members, or to announce it in person at our events. **What if I have other questions?** If possible please post any questions in the comments area below rather than directly messaging us, so that others can see the answer too. This will allow us to spend less time answering messages, and more time making the games as fun as possible!

Raise Your Rate as a Coach: How to Mediate Your Premium Fee with Yourself
Sun, Aug 2, 9:00 AM🔥Your Coaching Rate Isn’t Just a Number. It’s a Position You May Have Never Renegotiated. What if the biggest pricing negotiation isn’t with your client—but with yourself? 💡YRaise Your Rate as a Coach explores one of the most uncomfortable conflicts many coaches face: helping people deeply while confidently charging for the value they create. Your price is a position—and positions can get stuck, just like conflicts do. In this practical session, Executive Transition Coach and Certified Conflict Coach and Mediator Philipp A. Effenberger turns his mediation toolkit toward coaching businesses and the internal tension around premium pricing. Discover how to separate your worth from old pricing assumptions, recognize pricing tension before it hardens, and reframe “too expensive” around value and shared interest. Through a real case, a practical reframing tool, and language you can use in your next pricing conversation, you’ll explore how to charge for transformation, not hours—and price like the expert you already are. 🗓️Join us on **Sunday, August 2, 2026**, for “**Raise Your Rate as a Coach: Break It to Create It — How to Mediate Your Premium Fee with Yourself,**” featuring **Philipp A. Effenberger**, Executive Transition Coach, NLP Master Trainer, Certified Conflict Coach, and Mediator. 🎯 **Key Points / Takeaways for the Audience** ✅ **Treat your price like a stuck position.** Identify the assumptions and internal conflicts keeping your rate frozen at an outdated level. ✅ **Charge for transformation, not hours.** Shift the conversation from the time you spend to the meaningful results and value you help create. 🎯 **Additional Key Points / Benefits** Participants will discover how to: ✔ Let your toolkit prove your worth. Recognize how your experience, methodology, and ability to create meaningful change support your business case and pricing. ✔ Attract clients who value expertise. Position your coaching around outcomes and value rather than competing primarily on price. ✔ Build a signature method that stands out. Turn your unique combination of skills, experience, and approach into a stronger coaching proposition. ✔ Move beyond hourly-rate or package thinking. Explore pricing through the value and transformation you help create rather than simply the amount of time you spend. ✔ Stop justifying your fee every single time. Develop clearer language for pricing conversations so you can communicate your value with greater confidence. ✔ Stop blending in as “just another coach.” Understand what differentiates your work and learn to make that distinction visible to prospective clients. ✔ Reframe “too expensive.” Learn how mediation principles can shift a pricing conversation away from opposing positions and toward interests, outcomes, and value. ✔ Navigate the helping-versus-charging dilemma. Explore how being committed to helping people and running a sustainable, profitable coaching business do not have to be opposing goals. 🎤 **ABOUT THE SPEAKER** Philipp A. PEOPLE INSIDE ME
Sat, Aug 15, 8:40 AMPEOPLE INSIDE ME) Writer: Katie Pollock Director: Anthony Skuse Lauren works at a crematorium. She hates death, but at least the dead can’t let you down. With a history of failed relationships and pregnancies, her biological clock is ticking hard and she finds herself at the bar night after night looking for someone to fuck. At work Lauren discovers boxes of ashes left on the shelf – children and babies who have not been claimed by their families. The memories and unlived lives of those departed souls start to invade her consciousness until something must be done. She decides to return the ashes to their families, forcing her to confront her greatest fears. Katie Pollock’s new play People Inside Me is an outrageously black comic look at grief and love and the ways we push the darkness away. GOODNIGHT SWEET PRINCE
Fri, Jul 31, 8:40 AMGOODNIGHT SWEET PRINCE Adapted by Liesel Badorrek, Raj Labade & Jack Twelvetree from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet Directed by Liesel Badorrek Confucius said: Before you embark upon a journey of revenge, dig two graves. A room that once held art is in ruins. Inside it, a boy is being watched, tested, pushed toward something he doesn’t fully understand. He trusts no one. Not even himself. Goodnight Sweet Prince distills Shakespeare’s Hamlet into an intense reflection. A mind caught in cycles of memory, remorse, and brutality, hovering at the brink of breaking point. Each night actors Raj Labade and Jack Twelvetree swap parts - Hamlet, Horatio, the rest - identity fractures, reforms, repeats through each unique performance. This is not a faithful retelling. It’s time distorted. A study of inherited violence. A sense of being watched, and the quiet damage done when revenge is dressed up as honour. Please purchase your own tickets via the link below & only then RSVP ATTEND. https://www.oldfitztheatre.com.au/goodnight-sweet-prince The show starts at 7.00 pm so I will meet you about half an hour before. The membership fee is available via the link below. Discounts and events are for paid members only, denoted with SUPPORTER 26 titles. https://www.meetup.com/theatretimesydney/events/312570533/ Any comments or questions please leave a message below or if on the day of the event text me on 0498826506 Ta Maggy
