Join me for a big, easy-going day out in Ballarat, finishing under the stars at the historic Ballarat Municipal Observatory. We'll ride the V/Line up together in the morning, wander a farmers market, jump aboard 100-year-old trams, take in the powerful World Press Photo exhibition, and end the night stargazing through the observatory's telescopes before catching the train home. We'll meet at Southern Cross Station, travel up as a group, and spend the day moving between spots by foot and local bus. It's a full day — roughly 8:45am to nearly 11pm — so come ready for a fun, packed itinerary rather than a quiet one. A few of today's stops are run by other organisations, and we're just an independent social group heading along together. A Meetup RSVP is not a ticket, so please book or pay for the things that need it (details below). Afternoon Beach Walk along Altona Bay Trail & Coffee on the Pier

Join me for a relaxed afternoon walk along the Altona Beach section of the Bay Trail Walk, in Melbourne’s west. Whether you come for fresh beach air, meaningful conversation, or to make new connections — you are warmly welcome. From the meeting point we’ll walk the 3km stretch along the Esplanade, and on our return stop for a take away coffee and walk down the Altona Pier to rest, chat and enjoy the ocean views. **Agenda** * 2:00pm – Meet directly across the road from the corner of Queen st/Beach St, at seating area (map and photo of meeting spot below) * 2:10pm – Depart * 3:30pm – Stop for a coffee and walk down the Pier * 5:00pm – Return to starting point The walk is approximately 6km round trip, flat and well paved. Our volunteer artists will be there to guide you and make the experience enjoyable for everyone. * Food and drinks are available for purchase from the Studley Park Boathouse. ### Important information * Please arrive between **9:30 AM and 9:45 AM** for check-in, a quick icebreaker, and a toilet break.
