Grown-man friendship is weirdly hard to find, especially once you've got kids. This is a few hours away from the caregiving, around other dads who just get it, no explaining required. Arrive in a room of fathers and men, and we'll start easy — a couple of games to knock the awkward off. Then real conversation in small groups: the kind that usually only comes out at hour three of a road trip. By the end, the goal is simple — you walk out feeling like someone actually saw you, the real you. Killer Queen freeplay night at Barcade

Killer Queen is a cult classic team-based arcade strategy game. It's super easy to learn yet infinitely replayable, and it's also a great way to meet new people. The game will be on freeplay all night. All skill levels are welcome. There's always a handful of experienced players willing to teach the game to newbies. We'll informally make pickup teams throughout the night. Come play a super fun game with an incredible community. 21+ because it's a bar.

Thursday Board Games

Board gamers of all kinds are welcome to our Thursday night board gaming event. **If this will be your first time attending on a Thursday, we highly recommend that you join our [Discord server](https://discord.gg/f3uqDJjEec) to find a scheduled game to join.** The majority of Thursday evening games are pre-scheduled via Discord, but we do leave one or two tables open for unscheduled games—if you would like to play at one of those tables please arrive as close to the 6PM start time as possible to increase the chance that there will be space available. Looking for something more freeform? Try our Friday and Sunday events, which are almost entirely comprised of unscheduled, “pick-up” games for you to play! At game time, your host will read off Trivia questions. Your goal is to come up with the right answer to each question and write it down on your paper. Escape Room Time - North Jersey

It is escape room time. The event comes to you courtesy of our WhatsApp group chat. Join us at 7:30 p.m. on July 31 at Amazing Escape Room, 281 Liberty St. in Bloomfield. This event will require a little planning and coordination. The cost per person will be based on the number of people. A 10% discount is available for groups of 10 or more. Technically, a room can only accommodate up to 10, 11 or 12 people. If there's significant interest, we can talk about getting two rooms. With that in mind, the cost per person will be between $25 and $35. No food or drinks are allowed on site. There is street parking.
