Join us for a **Chouette or Match Night** of Backgammon. 3 - 4 Player chouette game. Opening at 7:00pm & Chouette/Match play starts at 7:30pm. **\- RSVP \-** to be included in a 2 Hour Chouette or 7 Point Match Tourney. 1st & 2nd Place Prizes The Chouette's Last Game is 9:30pm - so it is a timed event On Tuesdays at Backgammon New York City BGNYC we are back to serving light snacks, wine, beer, tea, and coffee. Backgammon Sign-in & Boards on the 12th floor. We will close around 11:00 pm. Please bring your board if you have one (if you don't, we have a limited amount on hand). Monthly Weekend Afternoon Boardgaming at Cobblestones (September 2026)

\*\* In order to support Cobblestones for letting us use their space, there is a $15 minimum food/drink order per person.\*\* The monthly weekend meetup at Cobblestones is back! This is where we tend to stay longer & play more games than our weekly get-together. The next one will be on Saturday September 26, 2026. Join us for our awesome Weekend Boardgaming Meetup at Cobblestone's pub! We start around noon & usually stay until the early evening. We're a friendly group of gamers that play everything from Codenames & Ticket to Ride to Blood Rage & Agricola! Everyone is welcome - all ages (must be over 21) but must be young at heart! If you don't recognize the games, don't worry, everyone is happy to teach new players the rules. And feel free to bring your own board games if you wish. Between all of us, there's usually a large selection of games to choose from. If you're looking for a chill, fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon - come join us! In order to support our awesome, not-too-loud venue, each person must purchase something to eat or a few drinks. **Again, there is a $15 minimum per person.** *** We always welcome new people & we're all here to have fun, but we do have a few ground rules that we ask everyone to be aware of: * Treat everyone in the group with respect & do not discriminate. Some of us "trash talk" when we play, but it's all in good fun & in the spirit of gaming. * This is a restaurant/bar so accidents are bound to happen. However, if you're responsible for ruining someone else's game by spilling a beverage or food on it, the right thing to do is to offer to purchase a new copy for them. Some of the games we bring are out of print so please treat every board game with respect. * If a game is accidentally ruined by a staff member, everyone at the table should pitch in to buy a new one for the owner. More often than not, this comes to about $10/person or less, so in our opinion it isn't too much to ask for. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thursday Board Games

Board gamers of all kinds are welcome to our Thursday night board gaming event. **If this will be your first time attending on a Thursday, we highly recommend that you join our [Discord server](https://discord.gg/f3uqDJjEec) to find a scheduled game to join.** The majority of Thursday evening games are pre-scheduled via Discord, but we do leave one or two tables open for unscheduled games—if you would like to play at one of those tables please arrive as close to the 6PM start time as possible to increase the chance that there will be space available. Looking for something more freeform? Try our Friday and Sunday events, which are almost entirely comprised of unscheduled, “pick-up” games for you to play! Entrance is $8, paid to Squarrel Cafe for unlimited gaming for the day. Food and drink are available. Attendees are strongly encouraged to support our host, Squarrel Cafe.

Join us on Sundays for board games at Squarrel Cafe (572 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York) right by the Barclay's Center off the Atlantic Avenue 2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R stop. Large tables in a big space with a private overflow room available too. Bring a game or join in on one. A wide variety of games will be available - from lightweight and shorter games to heavy games with long play times. Hope to see you there! There is nothing X-rated, but some of the questions would be considered R-rated or involve adult themes. HOW IT WORKS: This completely online event will be LIVE and you will be able to see and hear the other participants while playing. In addition you will get to meet and interact with other participants. At game time, your host will read off several survey questions on a variety of topics. Your goal is to come up with the number one answer to each question and write it down on your paper. Once the round is over (about 6 questions), we will go through the answers and determine who had the highest score for the round. The winners will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. Prizes will be an Amazon Gift card!
