**HOLA HOLA. We're going to hang out at an amazing coffee spot this time and not go for a walk. Are you in?** We're back at it and are going to linger with our friends Carlos and Maria at Old Coffees House.... This isn't your usual coffee club. Inspired by how great it is to grab a coffee with a cool friend weekly, you will: **INVITATION: Thursday 11 June, 10:00am - 11:30pm @** Old Coffees House, Rambla de Prat, 10, Gràcia, 08012 Barcelona * Meet up with high-quality, high-vibe people, at a great Barcelona coffee spot \*THIS TIME AT OLD COFFEES HOUSE, Rambla de Prat 10 Gràcia\* * Order an artisanal coffee from true coffee experts Carlos and Maria of Old Coffees House. I've introduced so many of you to Carlos and Maria. It's time to celebrate this incredible coffee spot, featuring coffee from their finca in Colombia, and the community builders that they both are. \*\*\*Note that it takes a while to have your coffee made here, so be patient and chat with each other while it all percolates.\*\*\* Their pink bourbon filter is my (Jenna's) favorite coffee in the whole city. I host most of my meetings at their bar. * Linger and vibe in this gorgeous space, or go for a walk around the block with a cool stranger, and have a juicy chat \*OUR CONVERSATION STARTER FOR THIS EVENT IS *"True 'luxury' for me means..."* For Coffee Club in 2026 we're moving past examining words and terms and deeper into the human experience. This time we're starting our conversations with each other with the sentence "*True 'luxury' for me means..."* Feel that? We want to know about it. * Experience that happy, buoyant feeling that comes from an engaging, pleasant chat * Continue on with the rest of your day Disclaimers: This meetup is free, but logically you must purchase your own coffee or beverage of your choice directly with Carlos and Maria. The primary language of this meetup will be English, the organizer Jenna also speaks Spanish for any questions or needs. Note that while this meetup is in English, this is not an English language learning group - this is a way for incredible strangers (both locals and expat locals, we're about 50/50) to get together, chat, and connect about real topics. If you'd like, please provide a reason / intention for attending so that Jenna can make this great for you. Jenna will be actively hosting this space so don't be surprised if she sends you out for a walk with a stranger, or changes it up a bit to encourage connection. Note that Jenna is intentionally keeping this group free and using the power of it to support local third space coffee spots that bring people together in Barcelona. Be sure to join our **The Club** Whatsapp group after attending one of our Coffee Clubs to be connected with all of our people in Barcelona - in a no-spam, no-sales, genuinely just cool people meeting up - kind of way. If you'd like to support and/or team up with Jenna, buy her a coffee, check out her work at holajenna.com, or find her at the next coffee club and say the code word: kaleidoscope. Meeting up in person **INVITATION: Thursday 11 June, 10:00am - 11:30pm @Old Coffees House, \*Rambla de Prat 10** Who is shaping the experience of this group? A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix. Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop! Gathering spot will be in the downstairs area of the bookshop (near the Community Library). Coffee and tea are 1.50€ and can be purchased at the cash register upstairs. Find more info on our Instagram (@backstorybookshop) or website (www.backstorybookshop.com).
