Freshwater is a beautiful beach just North of Manly. As it is an open beach, it will be subject to surf conditions, and would not be suitable for absolute beginners even in very calm conditions. That being said, we can have Fairlight Beach as a back up plan if it is too rough. We can meet in the car park above the ocean pool at 11am and make a decision once we see what it is like. Malabar Headlands - La Perouse - Whale Watching - Wow!! 15KM Medium

**Malabar Headlands - La Perouse - Whale Watching - Wow!! 15KM Medium** Meet outside **Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club** (regular buses from the City and Bondi Junction Station stop immediately adjacent, on Marine Parade) by no later than **10:30AM**. From here it is a brisk walk south to join the trails which take us into Malabar Headland Park, which we traverse through to Malabar Bay and on to **Little Bay**, where we stop at the **historic Coast Hospital Precinct** for our lunch break. **THERE ARE SOME FOOD SHOPS HERE OR BRING YOUR OWN FOOD.** After lunch we skirt around the local golf clubs and enter the **Botany Bay National Park** for a fantastic bush walk through to La Perouse, Bare Island and the **La Perouse Museum** for those interested in the local History. Many great opportunities to spot **Humpback Whales migrating back to the Antarctic** on this walk! **Distance:** 15km **Type of Walk:** Pathways, bush tracks **Difficulty:** Medium **Walking Pace:** We will maintain a steady pace all day and will average 4.5 km per hour. **Meeting Place and Transport:** Meet outside Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club by no later than 10:30AM. Awesome Botany Bay Coastline Walk! Wolli Creek to All the Way to Cronulla!

**This is one of the best coastal walks around Botany Bay with fantastic views of all the coastal spots.** **We start at Wolli Creek and make our way to Kyeemagh, the Chinese market gardens, Brighton Le Sands and Dolls Point.** **After we break for lunch, we go over Captains Cook Bridge, through Woolooware and onto Wanda Beach, Elouera Beach and North Cronulla Beach.** **The walk is pretty flat and mostly on man-made paths.** **Meeting point is just outside Wolli Creek Train Station on Discovery Point Place. **Wild Teddy! Watsons Bay to Parramatta - 50KM Flat Track!** It's time for our **Springtime 2026 50KM Flat-Track Walk!** We meet at **Town Hall Bus Stand G**, which is on **Park Street** immediately outside the entrance to **Gadigal Metro Station**, by no later than **5:40AM** to catch the **324 Bus departing 5:44AM to Watsons Bay**. The walk sections are: 1. **Watsons bay to Circular Quay**, breakfast at The Gateway: 14KM. 2. **Circular Quay to Rodd Point**, bathroom stop: 10KM. 3. **Rodd Point to Breakfast Point**, lunch at IGA. 9KM. 4. **Breakfast Point to Newington Market Place**, food and bathroom stop: 10KM. 5. **Newington to Parramatta Station** Finish: 7KM. **What to Bring:** Snacks, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water - refills along the way. There are **food shops at Stops 1, 3 and 4.** or bring your own food. **Type of Walk:** Mostly flat after stop 1. SPIT BRIDGE to BALMORAL BEACH to Mosman Rowers 12kms Hike!!!

This delightful Sunday Session has it all... beautiful hidden beaches, amazing architecture, military history, perfect Sydney Opera House views, and some bush walking around Taylor's Bay that makes you feel like you're in Tropical North Queensland. And to finish it off? **[Mosman Rowers](https://www.mosmanrowers.com.au/)** is undoubtedly one of the best hidden secrets on Sydney Harbour for a fish and chips and a wine or two... Adding an unforgettable ferry ride to Circular Quay is the icing on the Sunday Session cake. **THE HIKE** We meet just behind the bus stop at **[Spit West Reserve](https://maps.app.goo.gl/faPKgPtqXfJV4QiU8)** in the park... you'll see me in a NY hat patting some dogs no doubt. The 144 bus, 172x, and 173x all drop there - easy as. From there we'll ascend into a stunning section of Mosman then head down to **Chinaman's Beach** \- definitely one of Syd Harbour's prettiest\. From there another climb then down to **Balmoral Beach**. Ahhhhhh a classic. A stroll through Balmoral then some stairs to get us huffing and puffing to **George's Head. Chower Bay. Clifton Gardens. An incredible bushwalk to Taylor's Bay. Bradley's Head. Taronga Zoo... then onward to Corner Beach** (you've prob only seen it from the ferry) and finally **Mosman Rowers**. Mosman Rowers (bring your ID to sign in, though I've never seen anybody checking) is one of a kind... it *oooooozes* local history, the food is damn good, and the views are stunning. **Sep 20 ROSE BAY to WATSONS BAY** A lovely walk along the harbourside, past historic old Strickland House, Greycliffe House & Vaucluse House, with wonderful harbour views. Includes a loop at South Head. Meet at Rose Bay Ferry Wharf, Lyne Park, Rose Bay. Optional walk to Macquarie lighthouse, north Bondi. Return by ferry or bus. You will absolutely love this walk! **Start Time:** 10am **Meeting Point:** Outside Customs House at steps. (corner Loftus & Alfred Streets) **Distance:** 13km **Circular Quay**, past the beautiful **Opera House**, head into the **Royal Botanic Garden**, smell the roses! We meander towards **Woolloomooloo**, the Naval Base. **Harry's Cafe de Wheels** we break for 5 minutes to rehydrate or grab a quick takeaway coffee? Love this walk! Keep Socialising, enjoy chatting with new members! **Next:** Up the stairs to **Potts Point**, down to **Elizabeth Bay**, across to **Rushcutters Bay** then up to **Edgecliff Station**. Optional Get-Out Point here. **Half Way: Edgecliff Station** is the perfect 22 minute lunch/snack stop before we head back to **Circular Quay** via a hidden rainforest, deep into **Trumper Park**, up to **Soudan Park Playground**, zig zag our way to **Royal Hospital for Women Park**. **Beautiful Art Gallery** next stop to rehydrate for a few minutes, then we reach **Green Park** opposite St Vincent's Hospital. Next is the tiny **Albert Sloss Reserve**, then the huge **Domain**.
