UX & Content Los Angeles: June 2026 Meetup
Sat, Jun 13, 6:00 PMOur bi-monthly networking meetups are back: bringing together product designers, UX researchers, and content folks to connect and build community. Best of all: this event is **FREE!** We'll be gathering at a reserved table at Found Coffee. Just look for the UX & Content Los Angeles group when you arrive. As always, we’ll have Sharpies and name tags on hand to help everyone learn each other’s names. The name tags will be color-coded so you can easily see whether someone is a product/UX designer, content designer/content strategist/UX writer, or UX researcher. **By attending this event, you agree to our Code of Conduct.** **[Our Code of Conduct is under the Content Strategy Los Angeles' Meetup About section](https://www.meetup.com/content-strategy-los-angeles/).** **Parking:** Small private lot. Other than that, it's street parking off Eagle Vista Dr. I recommend street parking for this location. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones!

Oscar Wilde: Gowns in Miniature
Tue, Jun 9, 11:00 PMCome join me at the Clark Library (one of my happy places, LOL) for an exhibition of mini gowns created by UCLA MFA costume design students! It's an excellent opportunity to visit the Clark, which usually requires an appointment. The registration link is below. It's free of charge but requires advance registration. The Clark has one of the most comprehensive collections on Oscar Wilde in the world. From the Clark Library's announcement website: "Join us to celebrate Oscar Wilde, the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, and the David C. Copley Center for Costume Design at an event featuring eight exquisite half-scale gowns created by UCLA MFA costume designers. Mentored by costume designer, historian, and Distinguished Professor Deborah Nadoolman Landis, PhD (Director, David C. Copley Center for Costume Design), MFA costume designers conducted research in the Oscar Wilde collection at the Clark Library and designed costumes for *The Importance of Being Earnest*, *A Woman of No Importance*, *An Ideal Husband*, and *Lady Windermere’s Fan*. Design sketches and briefs, costume history, and mood boards will be presented alongside the gowns at this gathering commemorating our collaboration." [Please register at the Clark Library website](https://www.1718.ucla.edu/events/gowns-mini/). Space is limited and I can't guarantee walk in registration will be available. Hope to see you there!

From Months to Days: How AI Is Rewriting Commercial Production
Fri, Jun 5, 3:15 PMJoin us for a behind-the-scenes look at how AI is transforming commercial production—and what it takes to build creative systems that actually perform. Jethro Rothe-Kushel is the Founder & CEO of Ritual Ads, a studio using AI to take brands from concept to finished commercial in days—not months—while improving performance through rapid iteration and real-time analytics. After more than 20 years producing major campaigns for brands like Google, Apple, and Amazon, Jethro saw firsthand how slow, expensive, and inefficient traditional production could be. Instead of accepting that model, he built something different. At Ritual Ads, the commercial production process is reimagined end-to-end—using AI to move from storyboard to finished spot in days, not months, while enabling faster iteration, real-time testing, and stronger performance. In this session, Jethro will break down how this approach works in practice, including: * How AI is compressing the timeline of commercial production * Why more iteration leads to better creative outcomes * What a modern “creative + performance” stack actually looks like * Lessons learned building and scaling a system designed for speed, consistency, and results This is a practical, real-world look at how advertising is evolving—and what builders, marketers, creatives, operators, and investors need to understand to stay ahead. *** ### **About the Speaker** Jethro Rothe-Kushel is the Founder & CEO of Ritual Ads, a studio using AI to take brands from concept to finished commercial with speed, precision, and measurable performance. He brings over 20 years of experience across film, television, and advertising, having produced major campaigns for leading brands including Apple, Netflix, American Express, Google, and Amazon. He is a former VP of the Producers Guild of America, representing thousands of top producers nationwide. Earlier in his career, Jethro documented the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles—work that contributed to major public funding efforts and long-term housing initiatives. That experience continues to inform his belief in storytelling as a force for real-world change. Today, he leads Ritual Ads at the intersection of AI and storytelling, helping brands move faster while staying authentic and effective. *** **Networking** Come early to connect with fellow founders, technologists, creatives, and community members. Friday Coffee Meetup is as much about the people in the room as it is about the conversation on stage.

Melrose Hill: Bangladesh Cuisine Family Style Late Lunch at Roshona Bilash
Sat, Jun 20, 10:00 PMPlease Note: Read the information carefully below BEFORE you RSVP "Yes" for this event. 1) This is a family style dining event. We will order food as group and divide the bill evenly excluding beverages. 2) You cannot have any dietary restrictions for this event. 3) The estimated cost for this event is between $30 to $40, so please bring that amount in CA$H. 4) Yelp reviews: [ROSHONA BILASH - Updated May 2026 - 62 Photos & 19 Reviews - 861 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, California - Indian - Restaurant Reviews - Phone Number - Menu - Yelp](https://www.yelp.com/biz/roshona-bilash-los-angeles) Melrose Hill has recently had an uptick of good restaurants opening in this small district squeezed between Hollywood and the 101 freeway. The parking in the area sucks, but I will put up with it if there is a good restaurant to try out. So one of the restaurants in Melrose Hill that has caught my attention is a Bangladeshi cuisine restaurant called Roshona Bilash. So come join me for a late lunch as we feast on Bangladesh food!

AI, Art & Vibecoding - StrangeNew.World @ 310 Coffee
Fri, Jun 5, 10:00 PMWe frame ourselves as **"a support group for the technological singularity"** and we are an eclectic mix of open-minded thinkers, artists, and tinkerers who believe in embracing the emerging technologies and capabilities in the most humanitarian way possible. Our meetings have a super casual and open atmosphere where all are welcome to contribute. Feel free to come late or leave early. So whether you're an AI enthusiast or skeptic, a creative professional already using AI on the daily, or someone just starting their first vibe coding project, this group may be for you! **What to Expect** Interesting conversations, relevant content, and educational resources. We are a diverse community of people who want to help each other and the world around us. We meet in person once a week at **310 Coffee in Culver City from 3-5pm**, we share our work and interesting news in our Whatsapp group, put on remote Learning Labs, go to events together, and encourage our members (who have the availability) to participate in a learning collective where we can volunteer to give each other one-on-one crash courses in various artistic, technical, and entrepreneurial disciplines. Here is a list of what we can teach: [https://strangenew.world/labs/what-we-know](https://strangenew.world/labs/what-we-know) We also encourage each of our members to take on a Passion Project, which could be as simple as getting up and running with a new artistic medium or project, or as complex as laying the groundwork for your dream business or career. We believe there has never been a better time (at least in OUR lifetimes) to set your sights on what your ideal life would be two years from now and then just start moving toward it. And maybe we can help you do that by giving you the hand-holding you need to get over that first hump, which can sometimes be the most difficult part. **How to Give Back** If you are a member looking to give back, or if you like what our organization is doing, then please follow, subscribe, rate us, and smash that like! 🤣 I know it seems silly to many of you, but in the attention economy, just the act of following us, liking our posts, and reviewing our events can make a huge difference in how the algorithm shines upon us. Also, if you would like to support us in a more direct way, please consider giving us a one-time donation, subscribing to one of our tiers, or sponsoring us. We pay for a lot of stuff out of pocket, so please consider becoming a patron to support the overall longevity of our group and vision. [https://strangenew.world/support-us](https://strangenew.world/support-us) **More Information** What we explore during our meetings really depends on who shows up and what they want to discuss: * The changing job market. What skills will matter in 10 years * The future of business and the creative industries * Chatbots, LLMs, and Agentic Workflows * Using AI for scientific or artistic exploration * Will generative art destroy Hollywood or save it? * What is consciousness? What constitutes intelligence? * The various types/platforms of vibecoding and which is best for your project * The end of capitalism as we know it * Are we entering the 2nd Cognitive Revolution? **Learn more at: [https://strangenew.world](https://strangenew.world)**
