***LABV "BLUE COURTS" - All-Levels Fours:*** ***8:15 AM to 2:00 PM*** Note that this event is cross promoted on several apps / platforms, so we always have a consistent group of 20+ attendees every Saturday. Join us for a fun-filled day of beach volleyball every Saturday (year-round) for open play Pickup Games in Playa del Rey! For intermediate players or even athletic beginners looking to learn, this event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great workout while soaking up the sun and making new friends. Our friendly and welcoming group provides a supportive environment for players of all skill levels to come together and enjoy four-on-four volleyball on a beautiful beach with everything provided. Just bring a beach towel, your sunscreen and some water and we provide all the equipment, balls and setup. And best of all, everything is free with no fees whatsoever! Even parking on the street and in the THREE adjacent parking lots in the area is FREE (although it gets much harder to find spots after about 10am). **So even if you are still using your volleyball "training wheels", we provide a place for you at Los Angeles Beach Volleyball Open Play Saturdays!** YOU ARE ALSO HIGHLY ENCOURANGED TO BRING SNACKS FOR THE COMMUNAL BLANKET! ***Weather Cancelations:*** If there is a threat of bad weather on our game day, be sure to check here at [meetup.com](http://meetup.com/) before you leave to come to the beach. We will always update the meetup event on Saturday morning around 7:30am if the event is canceled. If there is no update stating that the Saturday game is canceled, then we are still playing. If you believe community service is a critical part of giving back locally we hope you join us as we clean the 2 Freeway in Glendale! We work with CalTrans to leave a cleaner, most sustainable future for everyone that lives here. Come join our efforts! Atheists United is a community nonprofit that provides programming for Greater LA's million+ atheists and agnostics. We've proudly been hosting highway cleanups in Los Angeles for almost two decades. **What to wear:** Close-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen or long sleeve shirt. Dress in layers because it can start out cold and warm up later in the morning. We'll provide bags, gloves, and grabbers so you won't have to bend over to pick up trash. Minimum age to participate is 16. **Lunch or Refreshments:** We'll pick a place for refreshments after the cleanup **How long:** The highway clean-up will take about 2 hours; plus an optional get-together for refreshments afterward. **How to find us:** We'll meet at the Holly exit, off of the 2 freeway in Glendale (See map). Friday Mornings / Beach Volleyball

We meet every Friday morning at 9:00 a.m., in Manhattan Beach at the 4th Street courts. This group is open to INTERMEDIATE AND UP LEVEL players. This group is NOT for beginners. **First time players are asked to show up and play before they ask to join the group via the Meetup app.** For members, players are asked to bring their own volleyballs & lines, if you have them. Please RSVP as early in the week as possible so that we know that we have at least four players. The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is really a neat place . . . AND WE GET TO VISIT AND HAVE A SOCIAL THERE!!! It's located on private property and not normally open to the public. So it is indeed a special thing for us to go. (for free) Now . . . About this event: It is outdoors in a super-funky, pretty and cute location of The Hollywood Sculpture Garden. **This is intended as a "New To Meetup Mixer." Meaning if you are new to Meetup, or new to the group, been in the group for a while but not attended an event or even just new to the city, . . . then come.** A perfect way to meetup some quality people over some even better wine. **And very perfect if this is your first meetup ever!! And while 15,000 or 20,000 steps would be great, they also require more time. Playa Del Rey Conditioning Walk / Urban Hike

Come join the Sierra Club and take a midweek break and walk along the beach and nearby hills and neighborhood of Playa Del Rey and Westchester. Enjoy spectacular views of Marina Del Rey and the surrounding area. Meet new people and find out about upcoming Sierra Club future events. The walk is 5 miles, 200 ft gain. Directions to meeting point: Directions to meeting point: Go West on Culver Blvd, to Nicholson, turn Left (Note: Nicholson turns into Pershing) and continue on Pershing to Waterview (1/2 mi), turn Right to top-of-the-hill, (corner of Rindge and Waterview). Where the NW corner fence of LAX meets the homes overlooking the ocean. You can also get there from Manchester as well.
