Hi, I’m Khushboo Sangwan, a left-handed creative writer and project manager living in Berlin. I’ve always dreamed of writing a book. 📖 But somehow, life keeps getting in the way. Work, responsibilities, other plans, and suddenly another year has passed and that first draft is still sitting somewhere in your head. 💻 I know how difficult it is to stay consistent when you’re doing it alone. ✍️ So I decided to stop waiting for the perfect time and create the kind of writing group I wished I had. And I’m not going to sit there and tell you what to do while you write. I’ll be writing my own book with you. 📕 Every Saturday, we’ll meet for focused writing time, take a couple of short breaks, and then spend some time talking about what we’re working on, helping each other through creative blocks and figuring out what comes next. 📚💡 I’ll also help you look at your book like a creative project. Psychedelic Forest Hike II

Hey psychedelic fans! As the leaves begin to change color, we are once again heading out into the beautiful Grunewald. Join us for our second psychedelic hike through the forest, where you can contemplate the cyclicality of life and the impermanence of all existence — or simply reconnect with nature and your friends from the community. Bring whatever you need for the afternoon: drinks, some snacks to share, something to sit on during the picnic break, and, of course, suitable clothing. Just like last time, we’ll meet at S Grunewald (exit towards Grunewald) at 12:00, with the hike starting around 12:15. We’re aiming to finish at S Nikolassee between 16:00 and 17:00. If you cannot find us, I’ll have a big mushroom attached to my backpack. If you’re running late, just send a message in the event chat. (If the weather is terrible on Saturday, we might postpone the hike to Sunday instead. In that case, we’ll make an announcement in the group.)

In this session, we’ll explore the parts of Grafana that are easy to overlook: features hiding in plain sight, capabilities that don’t always make it into the typical Grafana workflow, and products and solutions from Grafana Labs that many teams may not have encountered yet. We’ll look beyond the obvious dashboarding use cases and uncover tools that can simplify observability, improve troubleshooting, and solve problems you might currently be addressing with entirely different systems. **Speaker:** Anatolii Timoshuk Anatolii Timoshuk used to run production systems. Now he talks to the people who run production systems — arguably a questionable career progression, but one that comes with fewer 3 a.m. alerts. After years in systems engineering and DevOps, building and operating large-scale cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, Anatolii crossed over to the go-to-market side of tech. Today, as a Senior Observability Architect at Grafana Labs, he works with teams across EMEA and APAC on observability, architecture, and figuring out what's actually happening inside their systems. He brings an operator's mindset to Solutions Engineering: distrust the happy path, ask what happens when it breaks, and always look at the data. **So you want to run (coding) agents securely** Fixing a bug doesn’t need your cloud provider credentials. Summarizing a document doesn’t need permission to send emails. But useful agents need access to our code, data, and tools – and that can easily end up with more authority than the task requires. Unlike a malicious dependency, agents don’t necessarily need an attacker to start doing something you didn’t intend. “Just sandbox it” sounds like the obvious answer. So does “keep a human in the loop.” Neither quite settles what running an agent securely actually means. Tom explores the boundaries between isolation, autonomy, and trust – and how a perfectly reasonable task can end in what would be a felony if a human did it. What should an agent be allowed to reach? Which decisions should remain yours? And how would you notice when it starts going off track? Through live demos of popular open-source tools, Tom puts sandboxing to the test: what does it protect, what does it get in the way of, and what remains a matter of trust? 🍄SHAMANIC FOREST RETREAT🍂

***A day of nature, connection, shamanic ritual, cacao ceremony & deep relaxation*** This season, the forest is home to one of its most striking and mysterious inhabitants: Amanita muscaria, the fly agaric. As the bright red mushrooms emerge from the forest floor and the leaves begin to dance in their most vibrant colours, I invite you to explore a deeper connection with the spirit of the forest. In a small group, we begin our journey mindfully from the very first steps into the woods. Moving slowly and consciously, we tune into the landscape around us — its sounds, scents, textures, rhythms and subtle atmosphere. Once we arrive at our chosen place in the middle of the forest, we open a sacred space for the experience. A **cacao ceremony** forms the opening part of our shamanic connection. As Amanita is currently part of the forest around us, there will also be an opportunity for those who feel called to share a small amount of it (microdose) with their cacao as a way of having a deeper **encounter with its spirit**. Through shamanic drum journeys, rattling, free vocal expression and periods of stillness, we explore altered states of consciousness and deeper ways of connecting with the natural world. The combination of forest, rhythm, sound, cacao, mindful presence and ritual creates space for **deep relaxation, expanded awareness and a profound sense of connection** — with nature, with ourselves, with the group, and with the visible and invisible worlds around us. There will also be plenty of time for sharing and simply being in the forest: sitting beneath the trees, breathing, listening, observing and allowing the experience to unfold naturally. Who Lives in the Woods? Watercolour Workshop

Over four Tuesday evenings, we’ll meet four different woodland animals and explore a new way of painting each one with watercolour. Every week, we’ll look closely at one animal and use it as an opportunity to learn and practise different watercolour techniques. Some paintings will be more realistic, others more loose or abstract — the idea is to discover how many different ways watercolour can describe an animal. We’ll also look at a selection of picture books and discover how different artists have interpreted and painted animals in their own unique ways. We always work **step by step**, starting with the basics: observing how water and colour interact, experimenting with colour effects, and learning how to control — and sometimes let go of — the water. Then we’ll build our animals from simple shapes, exploring different effects and practising textures such as fur, feathers, and other details that make each animal unique. Open Draw

Kommt am 2. Montagabend im Monat ins Offene Wohnzimmer zum Open Draw! Raucht Euch auch manchmal der Kopf von zu viel PC-Arbeit? Der Asphalt der Stadt ist heute wieder viel zu grau? Ihr würdet am liebsten mal wieder wild auf einem Blatt Papier rumklecksen oder gedankenverlorene Linien zeichnen? Höchste Zeit zur Tat zu schreiten! Wir wollen in entspannter Atmosphäre die kreativen Zellen auf Volldampf fahren und uns der Inspiration überlassen. Mit Musik im Hintergrund sowie Wein, Tee und Snacks im Repertoire wird dann gekleckst, gemalt, gezeichnet, geklebt, geredet und gelacht. Das Ganze kann sehr ambitioniert stattfinden, aber genauso zum Hirn-abschalten dienen. Austausch, Bilderswapping und gegenseitige Tipps/Kritik sind sehr willkommen. Material stellen wir (Kreide, Bleistift, Wasserfarbe, Acrylfarbe, Pastellstifte, Kohle, Papierbögen, Spiegel, Postkarten, Zeichenbücher, Illustrierte). Sujet kann alles sein: Der/die Tischnächste, der letzte Traum, oder der Feldhase Dürers. Technik auch: Von (Selbst)portrait über Stilleben bis zur Comiczeichnung soll alles abgedeckt werden. Wir bieten jeden 2. Montag im Monat offene Treffen zum kreativen Arbeiten sowie gelegentlich technik- und themenbasierte Workshops an.
