Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park
Sun, Jul 26, 5:00 PMDodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.

Saturday Afternoon hike - Franklin Park - See event description for update
Sat, Jul 25, 5:45 PMJoin us for a casual hike out at Franklin Park, the park around the Franklin Park conservatory. This will be a casual get together for people to meet greet and socialize with other introverts in our city. Come out and see some familiar faces, or make new friends too! 👉We'll meet right outside the conservatory, but not actually go into the conservatory. Its an easy spot for us to find each other to start the walk. 👈 🚨🚨Update - July 23 🚨🚨 👇 To those intending to join for the Franklin Park walk this coming Saturday. I'm going to do something a bit unorthodox here: I'm not going to be able to really host this weekend because I've come down with a headcold, and I don't want to get anyone sick. But I'm not going to cancel the event either. To everyone who wants to join, you can meet up at the front of the Conservatory as planned, and then take a walk together around the park to enjoy the greenery and the weather. I can't really guarantee that there will be a welcoming face to greet you all, because I don't have a backup organizer, but I've found most people who are part of the meetup community tend to be pretty open. And if anyone wants to volunteer to be the welcoming face, I'd be more than happy to make someone an event organizer for the walk too. You can also consider this an open invite to simply come out and enjoy some of Columbus's wonderful green spaces.

Board games at The Forge
Wed, Jul 29, 10:00 PMThe Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

Fun & easy way to play more tennis (read event description)
Thu, Aug 6, 11:00 PMWe’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun! Also, if you’re looking to meet new practice partners or play some matches and you aren’t already in the PlayYourCourt Community, you can go here to see what we’re all about and sign up: https://www.playyourcourt.com/tennis-community/columbus-oh/meetup/ If you love tennis, we’d love to have you! Be sure and watch the quick video that explains how everything works. Happy hitting! - Scott
