We will keep things pretty informal, focusing on open conversation rather than a structured lecture. It is a great chance to bounce ideas off one another, practice answering those tough interview questions, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee while meeting some new people in the local community. If you have been feeling like you could use a sounding board for your next career move, we would love to have you join us. Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Thu, Sep 24, 10:30 PMWelcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… IMPORTANT: 1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
Board games at The Forge
Wed, Sep 23, 10:00 PM**Cost**: We do not require a fee to attend the events and The Forgehas graciously reserved us space to mee. We urge everyone to take full advantage of their drink selection and restaurant menu. The Forge has a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. does have a full bar and kitchen. in order to keep the event free, we want to average $20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each and we encourage you to try the mocktails as a level up! Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! **Parking**: We ask all attendees to park in the overflow lot located behind the Mexican restaurant next door unless of course you have mobility needs and need to park in the Forge Lot out front. **Gaming**: The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. **when you arrive**: The Forge staff can direct you to our reserved area and a group event host can help you find a table and get going on something fun! Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. **Prohibited behavior** We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. This includes especially, harassment or disrespectful behavior towards attendees and Forge staff. Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park

We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
FANG Con board game marathon

Come celebrate with us at our 11.5 hour board game marathon - it's co-ed! FANG is an all fem board game club, but on this day we're open for everyone! This is a co-ed open house celebration! ---- Registration This year we are registering people through Tabletop Events! A badge is $2! We normally have free events, but the $2 will cover a small portion of the venue fee and greatly help us! We also except donations. You can donate via Ko-Fi (ko-fi.com/fang_columbus) or Venmo (@FANG_Columbus). We also having a few raffles you can participate in to help us fund this event! Any donations beyond the venue go to our club. It funds our email blast, name tags, stickers, and cool things for our members and volunteers like T-shirts! If your plans change, no worries, just be sure to cancel your ticket so we can offer your spot to someone else who’d love to join us. Please bring your own games to play. We will have "looking for players" signs to help you find a group. ---- Food and Drinks Alcohol is not permitted in the venue. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. If you would like to bring snacks to share you can add them to the pile in the kitchen. A microwave is available for your use, and while there is a refrigerator, bringing a cooler for your food is recommended. We are collecting pizza money if you would like in on pizza. We will pick up preordered pizza from Costco around 5 or 6pm. You can order your share of the pizza through our events. ---- About Us Fem All Night Gaming (FANG) is an all fem board game group in Columbus, Ohio. We are creating a space that celebrates gaming and the diversity of femininity. We are women, gender queer, & non-binary only. No cis-men. Currently, we meet every other Wednesday, Saturday, and the first and third Sunday of the month to play board games.
