Men's Group meetup

Men's Group meetup

Sat, Nov 7, 3:00 PM
From Columbus Mens Group
4.9

**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Analytics in Publishing

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Analytics in Publishing

Wed, Nov 11, 11:30 PM
From TechLife Columbus
4.6

**Seven Portals, No North Star: Running Analytics for a Newsroom That Has to Pay the Rent** Every morning I open seven affiliate portals, Google Analytics, our beehiiv dashboard, and whatever social media is saying about us today. Then I try to answer one question: what do we do now? In other words: how do I drive more revenue, while preserving the integrity of the brand? At [Daily Drop](https://www.dailydrop.com), a daily travel rewards newsletter, the content team runs on newsroom time while the business runs on revenue time. Those two clocks are often in conflict. There’s no single KPI to hide behind; we have to grow the list and turn readers into revenue without becoming the newsletter nobody opens anymore. Many days those goals fight each other. This session is an view into the analytic strategy behind a newsletter-first business. I’ll cover which numbers I check first, which ones lie to me, how to tell a good new subscriber from a hollow one, and why depending on other people’s affiliate programs feels a lot like sharecropping. I’ll also share how to turn findings into direction I can give a team of writers and content creators. You’ll leave with a practical way to decide what matters when everything does. **About Our Speakers** [April Wilson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/aprilwilson/) is Director of Content and Conversion at Daily Drop, where she leads the team behind a daily travel rewards newsletter and spends an unreasonable part of every morning inside affiliate portals. She has 24 years of executive leadership experience across analytics, content strategy, and healthcare revenue cycle software. She is the author of seven books on healthcare revenue cycle management and the consumer guide Your Hospital Bill Survival Guide, and she writes the only weekly RCM 2030 newsletter on LinkedIn. April holds a master’s in sociology and has taught at Otterbein University, Southern Methodist University, and Stanford. Long before any of that, she was the first official band photographer for the Dave Matthews Band, back when they were the crappy local act. She is also totally Tim’s cousin, no matter what he tells you. **Thanks to our 2026 sponsors:** [Clarivoy](https://www.clarivoy.com/), [What Box Consulting Group](https://www.whatboxconsultinggroup.com/), [Conductrics](https://www.conductrics.com/), and [Piwik PRO](https://piwik.pro/) More info at [cbusdaw.com](https://cbusdaw.com/)

Confidence Lab: When Being Yourself Changes Everything

Confidence Lab: When Being Yourself Changes Everything

Thu, Nov 5, 10:30 PM
From Greater Columbus Business Skills Meetup
4.8

**What becomes possible when you stop editing yourself to fit what you think other people want?** Being more fully yourself can change how you lead, how you connect, the opportunities you recognize, and the relationships you build. It can create deeper connection, greater freedom, more meaningful work, and a stronger sense of confidence in how you move through the world. But being authentic isn’t always comfortable. Showing up honestly can create tension, challenge expectations, change relationships, and require you to navigate conflict or uncertainty. And when you’re willing to keep showing up as yourself, even when it’s hard, it takes more than courage. It takes ways to rest, recover, and reconnect with what keeps you going. In this Confidence Lab conversation, we’ll explore what being your authentic self, confidently and publicly as well as in your relationships, has made possible; how you’ve navigated the tension and conflict that can come with it; and what helps you sustain that way of showing up over time. Come ready to share, listen, and consider what might change when you give yourself permission to be more fully you. **Featuring** **Annette Santiago Reyes** Annette has a rare talent: she makes the way you communicate feel like a discovery, not a critique. A connection catalyst and culture strategist, she helps people understand why they show up the way they do, and how to bridge the gap between intention and impact. Whether you're navigating change, life’s challenges, or simply trying to better understand yourself and others. Annette gives you the language and the lens to get there. **Lachandra Baker** Founder of LBB Edutainment and the kind of person who makes you realize you’ve been confusing confidence with performance your whole life. Lachandra blends psychology, research, and radical humanity to help individuals and teams stop code-switching their way through the day and start showing up as someone they actually recognize. Expect to be challenged, affirmed, and genuinely seen - sometimes all in the same breath. **What is Confidence Lab?** Confidence Lab is a community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether you’re launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fully, you belong here. Living fully demands clarity, courage, and conviction, but the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work. Confidence Lab is designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to live with authenticity and impact. ***Please note:*** *All are welcome! If cost is a concern, please use promo code PUBLIC to access a free ticket—we want you to join us.*
