🌟 WHY LOGAN SQUARE?
Named for Civil War general John A. Logan, this neighborhood is famous for the spectacular intersection of Logan Boulevard, Kedzie Boulevard, and Milwaukee Avenue. At its center stands the Illinois Centennial Monument, marking the northwest terminus of Chicago’s historic boulevard system.

Beginning with annexation to Chicago in 1889, Logan Square grew rapidly as immigrant communities settled along Milwaukee Avenue and surrounding streets. Wealthy residents followed, building impressive homes along the boulevards and creating the architectural district we enjoy today.

From grand mansions and lush medians to immigrant storefronts and historic gathering places, Logan Square offers a fascinating look at how Chicago grew and changed over more than a century. 🏛️🌳
