What we’re about
Welcome to our Millennial Christian Community Group! We are a group of young adults who gather together to form new connections, live life together, and encourage each other as we follow Jesus.
You do not have to be a Christian to join this group, but it is meant to be a safe space to talk about Jesus. We need a place to share our struggles with faith and following Jesus, to ask questions, to share joy, and to just be real with each other. If you’re curious about Jesus or don’t mind hearing about him, please join us!
P.S. Please make sure your face is showing in your profile picture before joining the group. Thanks!

Camping & Tubing the American River
Camp Lotus, 5461 Bassi Rd, Lotus, CA, USJoin us for camping and tubing the American River! My friends and I have been camping at this campground every summer for over 10 years. This is a relaxed trip: a typical day would be a late breakfast, spend a couple hours floating down the river (class 1 & 2 rapids), and them chill by the river or play boards games. The campsite is already booked, and it’s right next to the river.
Please plan to attend at least 1 of our group’s other MeetUp events before this trip.
Campground: Parking is available right next to the campsite. No need to “rough it” (many people like to bring their air mattresses). The campground also has potable water, bathrooms, and showers. For more info about the campground, please visit the Camp Lotus website.
Cost: The campground charges $20 per person per night (3 nights = $60/person). You can choose to either bring your own food OR pitch in for group meals ($6/meal).
(OPTIONAL) Group Meals: We usually coordinate group meals, but you are always free to bring your own food if you prefer. We do a big breakfast and a big dinner, and everyone does their own thing for lunch. (Since we'll be on the river for lunch, most people just bring snacks.) Some people bring snacks and/or drinks to share at the campsite after the float, but that’s not required. Our traditional rule for group meals is that everyone either pitches in to help cook OR helps clean dishes after the meal.
River Float: You will need a tube and a life vest. Almost everyone uses the Intex River Run tubes, which we’ve found are best suited for this type of float. You can usually find them for around $20 at Big 5 or Amazon. (I recommend buying one sooner rather than later, because they often sell out early in the summer.)
If you don’t have a life vest, we do have some extras you could borrow if you let me know in advance (as long no one else has already claimed them). Life vests are mandatory on the river, and you can be fined if you do not have one. If you want to buy your own, Walmart sells a decent life vest for under $15, or you can usually find one at Big 5 for $20-30.
RSVP max: The campsite can fit up to 12 people, so I may be able to increase the RSVP max depending on how many of our regulars are coming.
Please feel free to message me (Lorice) directly if you have any questions!
