About us
Welcome to Triangle Third Place (20s & 30s) — a community built around a simple idea: everyone deserves a place to belong outside of home and work.
We create accessible, welcoming experiences that help young adults build real friendships, feel more connected to the Triangle, and discover the people and places that make this area special.
That might mean gathering at a hidden neighborhood café, exploring a local farm, trying something completely new, showing up for live music, wandering a museum, hiking a trail, supporting a small business, or simply sharing a table with people you haven’t met yet.
Our events are designed to make it easier to show up, especially if you’re coming alone. There are no cliques, no pressure to already know someone, and no expectation that you have to be the most outgoing person in the room. Just come as you are.
We believe community happens when people have more opportunities to be together in real life. That’s why we focus on creating experiences that are approachable, inclusive, and rooted in the places we call home.
Along the way, we also want to help people experience more of what’s already in their own backyard — local businesses, neighborhoods, parks, cultural spaces, traditions, and hidden gems they may otherwise never discover.
Whether you’ve lived in the Triangle your whole life or arrived today, you’re welcome here.
We ask that you adhere to our policy as we make waitlists fair and allow a good experience for our members and the businesses we support:
- RSVPs will open 2 weeks before each event
- RSVPs will close 24 hours before the event
- 2 no-shows may result in removal from the group
- 3 cancellations within 24 hours of an event may result in removal

EXCLUSIVE! A Night of Food, Games & New Beginnings 🍎🍯
This might be a little different from what you’re used to… but honestly, what else are you going to do on a random Tuesday? Come try something completely different.
Triangle Third Place is teaming up with the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh (Young Adults Division) and Moishe Pod for a really fun night centered around (free) food, really fun games, community, and traditions connected to the Jewish fall holiday season.
We’ll have vegetarian food provided, a cash bar with themed drink specials, secret games, themed surprises, and plenty of "schmoozing" — AKA socializing.
Throughout the night, you’ll get introduced to fun and approachable elements of September holidays like Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot through food, activities, traditions, and a few surprises we’re intentionally not telling you about yet.
And to be very clear: you do not have to be Jewish to attend.
This is not a religious service, and it isn’t designed for one specific faith. It’s a community experience for anyone who wants to learn something new, meet new people, laugh, eat, play some games, and experience traditions they may not have encountered before.
If you are Jewish, there will also be opportunities to learn more about local organizations, young-adult programs, events, and resources that are right here in your own backyard.
This is one of many cultural experiences we’ll be adding to the Triangle Third Place calendar, giving our community more opportunities to explore the people, traditions, food, and celebrations that make the Triangle what it is.
### THE SPACE
We’ll be gathering in a beautiful private room at a brewery near Downtown Raleigh. The exact address will be shared after you RSVP.
There is free and plentiful parking, and drinks (with or without alcohol) will be available for purchase from the bar throughout the evening.

Free, as always.

Circus After Dark: Aerials, Fire & Friends 🎪
Downtown Cary park, 3275 Academy Street, Cary, NC, USCome spend the evening with Triangle Third Place at the Carolina Circus Festival for aerial performances, food, glowing lights, and a fire-filled finale.
We’ll meet up at Downtown Cary Park, catch the evening performances together, and have plenty of time between shows to grab food, explore the festival, and meet new people.
The night includes:
• Aerial and acrobatic performances (schedule below)
• Food trucks and vendors
• Time to wander and socialize
• A professional aerial show
• A nighttime LED + fire show to close things out 🔥These are the scheduled performances while we are there:
- 7:15 PM — Pura Vida Studio Show
Aerial + ground acrobatics at the Pavilion Stage. - 8:15 PM — Professional Aerial Show
Local professional solo aerial performances at the Pavilion Stage. - 9:30 PM — LED + Fire Show
LED performers, fire spinners, and dancers closing out the festival.
Come solo or bring a friend—either way, this is meant to be an easy, low-pressure night to get out, experience something different, and connect with people around the Triangle.

Festival Crawl: Hobbits & Hoppers 🐛🧝
1 E Edenton St, Raleigh, No, USTwo of Raleigh's nerdiest free festivals land on the same Saturday, a short walk apart. So we're doing both 🐛🧝
Join us for an afternoon that starts with bugs and ends with Middle-earth.
First up: BugFest at the Natural Sciences Museum, celebrating 30 years with 100+ exhibits, games, and Café Insecta (real edible bugs, if you're brave). Then we'll walk over to Hobbit Fest at Moore Square for food trucks and Tolkien-themed festival fun.
Whether you're a Tolkien devotee, a bug person, or just looking to meet people on a Saturday, come hang. Costumes welcome, never required.
Meet: NC Veterans' Memorial, north side of Capitol Square (1 E. Edenton St.)
Time: 1:00 PM
Parking: Wilmington Street Parking Garage, a short walk from our meeting spot or other parking options
Cost: Free to attend — food trucks, Café Insecta, and any vendors are pay-as-you-goWe'll wander BugFest together, then head to Moore Square for HobbitFest.
Our official Meetup wraps up once we've made our way through HobbitFest. If anyone wants to keep the day going, the 5:00 PM showing of The Return of the King is right there — not an official part of the event, just an option for anyone who wants to stick around and watch.
Heads up: this route involves about a 10–15 minute walk between the museum and Moore Square, plus outdoor seating on grass or pavement for the screening. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfy shoes — and a blanket or chair too if you're sticking around for the movie. Let us know if you need any accommodations and we'll do what we can to help.
Plans change, no stress — if you end up not able to make it, just update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so we have a realistic headcount for the day. No-shows and last minute cancellations are subject to removal from the group per our policy.
