Trailblazers is organising a one-day Open Space conference where all Agile subjects are welcome (we mean that in the greatest sense possible)!

The theme this year is: Human-Centric Agility in the Era of AI.

At Trailblazers we love people, love sharing knowledge and love the concept of Open Space. So it was just a matter of time before we organised one ourselves. And we found our partners in Natalia Gulchevskaya and Richard Metcalf.

Open space is a framework to let people self-organise and quickly create a diverse and engaging program for the conference. The process is more or less the following:

1. Everybody who has an idea to share or question to ask writes it on a big post-it and presents it to other attendees. Choose a place and time-slot and “book” it. NB: When the weather is nice, we can have an extra place outside.
2. Attendees are free to choose any slot and stay there for the whole hour or change places every now and then.
3. Around noon we have lunch. We conclude the day with a retrospective and drinks.

There will be experienced facilitators present that will enable everyone to make the most of the day.

And what would an Agile Open be without a game night? So we're offering that as well!
After the Agile Open, for all participants that would like to stay together, we will have dinner and play some games.

Het thema dit jaar is: Menselijke flexibiliteit in het tijdperk van AI.

Bij Trailblazers houden we van mensen, van kennis delen en van het concept Open Space. We hebben de open space nu twee keer kunnen organiseren samen met onze partners Natalia Gulchevskaya en Richard Metcalf. We zien uit naar deze editie!

Open Space is een framework waarmee mensen zichzelf organiseren om snel een divers en boeiend programma voor de conferentie te kunnen creëren. Het proces verloopt ongeveer als volgt:

1. Iedereen die een idee wil delen of een vraag wil stellen, schrijft het op een grote post-it en presenteert het om de beurt aan de andere aanwezigen. Kies een plaats en tijdslot en “boek” het. NB: Als het weer goed is, kunnen we een extra plek buiten hebben.
2. Deelnemers zijn vrij om elk willekeurig tijdslot te kiezen en daar het hele uur te blijven of af en toe van plek te veranderen.
3. Rond het middaguur lunchen we. We sluiten de dag af met een retrospective en drankjes.

Er zijn ervaren facilitatoren die ervoor zorgen dat iedereen het beste uit de dag kan halen.

En wat zou een Open Space conferentie zijn zonder spelletjesavond? Dus laten we dat ook doen!

Na de conferentie overdag bieden we 's avonds de mogelijkheid om samen te eten en serieuze of minder serieuze spelletjes te spelen.

Why this series exists
We already know AI is changing how we work. Most of us have tried Claude or ChatGPT — a quick question, a draft, an experiment. But knowing a tool exists isn't the same as building it into how you coach, facilitate, and lead. Real change needs more than a five-minute play with a chatbot: it needs practice, feedback, and people around you also trying.
That's what this workshop is for. Across 3 meetups, with fellow Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and team leads, you'll move from "I've heard of this" to "I actually use this" — one real project, one real decision at a time.
How this workshop works
This series is built the way we ask teams to learn best: theory first, on your own time; practice together, in the room. Before each meetup, you'll complete a short section of Anthropic's free AI Fluency: Framework & Foundations course https://academy.claude.com/courses/ai-fluency-framework-foundations — usually 30–60 minutes.
At the meetup itself, we don't re-teach what you've already read. Instead, we spend two hours applying it — to a real project you choose, with the support (and healthy challenge) of the group.
Bring a laptop or phone with Claude access — a free account is enough.
Learning Outcome — the whole series
By the end of this 3-meetup series, you will be able to:

• Decide, for a real piece of your work, what to hand to AI and what to keep for yourself — and explain why
• Write clear, structured instructions that reliably get useful results from AI
• Critically evaluate AI's output before you rely on it, rather than accepting it at face value
• Take responsible ownership of how you use AI in your coaching practice — including what you'd disclose and double-check

Meetup 1 - Choose Your Project: What Would You Actually Delegate to AI?
Learning Outcome: By the end of this meetup, you will be able to choose a real work project suited to AI collaboration, and decide — task by task — what to delegate to AI and what to keep for yourself, based on your own judgement as a coach.
What happens: We open the series by getting hands-on right away. You'll bring a real task or project from your own coaching practice, and — together with the group — turn it into your first real AI collaboration. Expect short live demonstrations, honest conversation about where AI actually helps (and where it doesn't) in coaching work, and real working time: choosing your project, optionally teaming up with others working on something similar, and making your first delegation decisions with support from the room.

Meetup 2 - Say What You Mean: Getting AI to Actually Do What You Want
Learning Outcome: By the end of this meetup, you will be able to write clear, structured instructions — covering what you want, how you want it done, and how you want Claude to work with you — that reliably produce better results on your own project.
What happens: Now that you've decided what to delegate, it's time to get AI to actually do it well. This session is hands-on from the first minute: you'll bring the project you started at Meetup 1, learn to describe what you want with real precision, and run it live — with your table there to troubleshoot, compare notes, and push your thinking further.
Before you come, please work through:

• Effective prompting techniques

Bring your project from Meetup 1 (laptop or phone, with Claude access).

Meetup 3 - Trust, But Own It: Evaluating AI's Work and Your Responsibility
Learning Outcome: By the end of this meetup, you will be able to critically evaluate AI-generated work before relying on it, and identify what you are responsible for checking and disclosing when you use AI in your coaching practice.
What happens: The final meetup is about judgement: knowing when to trust AI's output, when to push back, and what you're responsible for either way. You'll come having finished a first full pass of your project, and spend the session peer-reviewing each other's work, sharpening your evaluation skills through a live group exercise, and discussing the real ethical questions coaches face when using AI at work. We'll close with your AI Fluency certificate and a look at what's next.
Before you come, please work through:

• A closer look at Discernment
• Finish the remaining tasks of your project using The Description-Discernment loop — this continues what you started live at Meetup 2, it isn't a restart
• A closer look at Diligence
• Conclusion + the course quiz — arrive with your certificate/badge earned!
