Magic awaits with the Malliway Bros!
Witches, wizards, sorcerers, warlocks, enchanters, and magic-makers of all kinds will find community and fun at the Witches' Conclave. We offer workshops and rituals focusing on various aspects of witchcraft with an emphasis on being operative and results-oriented. Practitioners of all skill levels are welcome to attend our meetings, whether you're a fresh witchling just starting off or have been working the weird ways of witchcraft for ages.
We provide inclusive rituals for the phases of the moon and open celebrations for the witch's sabbats. Our classes focus on a wide spectrum of traditional and operative magic, drawing inspiration from our time in the wilds of England's west country.
The Conclave often gathers at our witch shop, Malliway Bros, located at 1407 W Morse Avenue, in the bustling Roger's Park neighborhood of Chicago.
THE WITCHES' CONCLAVE CODE OF CONDUCT
No matter our paths, what spirits we work with, or what forces we conjure, at the Witches' Conclave let's gather in peace. We are here to learn and to spread our magic and in order to do this, there are a few guidelines to follow:
-No photography or recordings of others without their permission.
-Respect other's privacy if they do not wish to share personal information, social media, email, phone numbers, addresses, or spend time outside of the Conclave.
-Do not use the Conclave as a dating pool.
-Do not solicit other members for business or money during events.
-Do not come to or become intoxicated during any classes or rituals. Drinking alcohol is accepted during social events but if it gets out of control, you will be escorted from the event. Repeated offences will result in a ban.
-Any kind of discrimination against another is prohibited. Intentional discrimination will result in a ban.
-Physical or sexual harassment will result in a ban.

Malliway's Academy: Folk Magic Course I
Malliway Bros. Spells, Charms, & Potions, 1407 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL, USTickets for this class can be purchased on eventbrite or in the shop. There will only be a certain amount of tickets available so that the each class has more room for personal attention. Because these classes are a four-part course, it is best to attend each one or you will not be able to work through all of the class activities.

Introducing our new multi-part series of magical study the Chicago Folk Magic Course. Unlike our other classes, in these lessons we will work through a curriculum to advance with the art of folk magic from class to class. This will include homework, in-class experimentation, taking on magical disciplines, and personal attention in smaller groups.
Our first class will involve an introduction to Folk Magic, why it is such a powerful practice, historical examples, how it evolves from place to place, and the importance of locality. In this class we will practice an array of disciplines based on sources of power available to our local land and culture. Each member will then choose a discipline as their area of focus for the course.

Thirteen Moons of Witchery: By Moonlight & Sunlight

In this workshop, we will work with the polarities of both the Witch's Goddess and the Witch's God together in circle. Unlike our last two workshops which explored the principles of each on their own, this class will discuss the symbolism of both of these forces coming together as one. Aftter our discussion, we will all participate in a ritual together to help us better understand the topics discussed.

This meetup is intended for practicing solitary witches who are interested in exploring structured group work. Unlike other rituals offered through Malliway Bros, which cover a broad range of practical magical techniques, these gatherings focus specifically on helping practitioners integrate their personal, solitary practices into a collective setting. They also offer an opportunity for witches to deepen and refine their spiritual path as it relates to the Craft.This gathering, facilitated by Blake, is open to all who identify as witches, regardless of experience level. In working through these classes, participants will ideally have developed or further refined their personal spirituality as it relates to the practice of witchcraft. At the conclusion of our thirteen moons, it is my goal that you will have the skillset to either move forward to form your own circle or continue on to develop your own practice using the methods we’ve learned throughout the year. Although this group will continue to build upon itself meeting after meeting, you’re welcome to join in at any time throughout the year.

As we gather now, we will call forth the powers of the new moon on this night. As opposed to our ecstatic full moon rituals of revelry, the new moon will be a time of solemn reverence to call upon what has been lost from the infernal depths of our history. This will be used attain forgotten aspects, reunite old ties, communicate with beloved spirits, and so on. Come to this ritual with that which you wish to regain in mind.

See you there!In this workshop we we all be able to make three dipped spell candles. You will be provided with an ivory colored wax as well as scented oils and herbs you may want to work into the taper itself. We will walk you through a brief history of candle magic, correspondences, and uses of the different ingredients we provide before getting our hands messy with some good old fashioned witchcraft.
