What we’re about
Like dressing pretty and going out? Feeling anxious to get out of those sweatpants occasionally, and don your favorite frock? This group leans towards the millennial (though (younger) X and (older) Z welcome (21+)) looking to dress pretty, make friends and go out. Let’s get brunch or dinner, attend an event, or go to a museum. Let’s hear a chorus of “I love your dress” with a reply of “Thanks, it has pockets!” Welcome to The Pretty Committee!

Winter Ice Spell Drinks & Potions at The Black Salt with Optional Late Dinner
The Black Salt Bar, 2764 Florian Street, Hamtramck, MI, USLet's celebrate Winter Ice Spells by joining us at the Black Salt Bar. After some good times at the Black Salt, we will head down the street to the Yemen Cafe.
From their website: Not so long ago, many of those who invented and used spirits were called witches. Using knowledge of the physiological effects and metaphysical properties of ingredients, they created drinks, or potions, that transformed a person’s reality. Today, we use these same practices to create cocktails with intentional purposes. Pairing cocktails with spell processes, we use magick to conjure all kinds of experiences.
Price: individual drink purchase
Bar Website: The Black Salt
Optional Late Night Dinner: Yemen Cafe - so we all can have yummy bread, garlic sauce and food.
Suggested Dress Code: Smart casual, smart winter, gothic centric
Please update any RSVP changes no later than Wednesday January 14, 2026. If you are on the Waitlist, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” as soon possible if your availability changes or you’re unable to be on standby if an attendee drops out by or after 1/14/2026. Please contact the Event Organizer with any pertinent updates after the cutoff date. Failure to do so may result in a warning and possible suspension/removal from the group after 3 infractions. Membership will also be evaluated if members consistently RSVP but later cancel (even within the appropriate amount of time).
- Waitlist Note: Often spots open up for the event the week leading up to the event, so even if an event is full, if you add yourself to the Waitlist, it is highly likely you will have a chance to attend.
