Oscar's Over 50s Get-together. New to Social Butterflies, the Oscar's over 50s group meets on the first Thursday of each month at The Standing Order Wetherspoons for chats, drinks, and food, as well as on the 3rd Thursday of each month at The Giddy Bridge. We'll try and sit at the front of the pub near the windows or on the raised area. If not then I'll post our table number/s in the comments below. Look for the gold ‘Oscar’ statue on the table. If you cannot attend, please remove yourself from the attendee list by 4pm.

See some of the era’s biggest stars as we take you back to a time when shoulder pads and perms were all the rage. Think live music from headline acts, epic fancy dress and loads of daytime experiences. It was the ultimate decade! This break is fancy dress-friendly (in fact, we wholeheartedly encourage it), so get busy planning your outfits! Join us for a mid week coffee at Coffee Bean, We are a super friendly independent coffee bar serving speciality coffee, a selection of teas and yummy treats. We are located in Bedford Place, Our whole ethos is to be as environmentally friendly as we can be. Our packaging is either compostable or recyclable, no single use plastics, using local suppliers and ideally zero waste. Oh, and all our furniture is upcycled with a feature wall too! We are 100% vegetarian with lots of vegan offerings (our Vegan brownies are delicious!!). We have a wide variety of cakes and brownies to choose from, all hand made by local independents. All our morning goods are freshly baked on site every day.
