How to find us

We meet at a cozy little café called quanminhday. ☕

If you have trouble finding it, note that you’ll need to turn off the main street and go a little way down a smaller side alley.

If you’re coming by taxi, you can also ask the driver to drop you off at the Ho Chi Minh Museum — it’s just a three-minute walk from the café.

When you arrive, you’ll first see a front room with a small music space — that’s still part of the same spot! The café area is in the second room, a bit further inside. It might not look like a café from the entrance, but you’re in the right place — just head in and you’ll find us there.

About the café: The owners are not the organizers of this event, but we’ve met here few times already and they know about our group. They’re very welcoming. If you feel shy about approaching other guests to see who is there for the drawing meetup, you can ask the café staff — they should be able to point you in the right direction.

How does it work

At each meetup, participants take turns posing for a quick 10-minute sketch session. One person poses, everyone else sketches, then we rotate.

There are no fees and no pressure (just please order something from the café). The only thing we ask is that everyone takes a turn posing for the group. Sit however you’re comfortable — those 10 minutes fly by!

Draw as much as you like, skip a round if you’d rather rest or chat, and stay for as long as it suits you. The session goes on as long as people are enjoying themselves.

Important note: The organizer is currently not in Hanoi, so the meetup runs on its own. When a few people have gathered, feel free to start — simply choose someone among you to be the first model, set a 10-minute timer, sketch, then rotate. If the group is small, we usually do two full rounds: once the last person has posed, the first person poses again, and so on, for as long as everyone wants to keep drawing.

We have a WhatsApp group for staying in touch and sharing updates. To keep the group free of spam and unrelated promotions, we have a simple rule: you need to attend at least one meetup before joining.
